OMG ... aren't parents embarrassing sometimes????

I went to Tesco with my mum and a friend of hers this morning and we just popped in for a few bits. As I was leaving I spotted a long receipt near the exit so picked it up. The clubcards points had already been claimed so I put it in the bin.

My mum told my friend that I picked it up coz I try to get extra points by 'SMURFING'

I cracked up laughing and said it's wombling not smurfing at which point mums friend just stood there more confused than ever. I explained that I could claim the points blah blah ... and she said 'Ohh, I might be a smurf now then'?!?!?!

    Parents eh?, lol

I can't for the life of me imagine what law you're breaking if you pick up a recepit and claim clubcard points...
In itself it's not illegal but it is against the terms and conditions of the Clubcard which remains the property of Mr T at all times.
Where it becomes illegal is when people take it a step further and make bogus Clubcard applications in other people's names etc.
Where it becomes immoral is when people lie to CS about where the receipt came from.

Apart from the lying bit I've no great objection. It's no worse than tramps rooting through litter bins looking for stuff. :)
    Can I help?

All I say is can you put these points on my clubcard please?

Thats with my own receipts so wombling people could say the same without having to lie also if the C.S. do not ask you where the receipt was from where is the problem?

People who pick up receipts off the floor therefore keeping Britain tidy from litter louts should get double the points they find in my opinion.

They should have clearly marked bins easily acceptable to collect receipts that people don't want, maybe on every till like you find when you get off a bus for used tickets. It is stupid that people dump them on the floor or leave them in a trolley to blow around a carpark.
People picking them up are doing Tesco a favour in my opinion.
What a great idea, it would save me wandering around the carpark looking for them
