Wombling for extra clubcard points....

Following jamsiebaby's post on wombling....thought I would start a quick post to talk about it.

I think it is one of the best ways in which to boost your clubcard points, because not only is it free, but its easy too!

Top tips from me and from this forum and others....

1. Look in trolleys in the trolley parks - loads to be found there.
2. Look in the bins underneath the self scan machines, and if you have courage, take the whole bag home with you to look through, and replace it with empty bag if no-one around.
3. Save all the lower denominations and send off to CS every month or so. I do this with ones below 10 and they have credited all.
4. If you have a dog and are a bit nervous bout wombling, take him/her around with you so you look less inconspicuous.
5. Bushes in the car park...wind always blows them here and its like picking fruit!
6. Pay at Pump machines at petrol station - show if clubcard has been used or not and usually between 30 and 40 points.
7. Don't be embaressed bout taking them to CS, just take few at a time, and to different stores if poss, and to friends if they ask if you want anything from Mr Ts
8. Visit on a busy day when car park is full and the trolleys are nice and messy.
9. Park far away from door so have chance to walk inconspicuously towards entrance round one side of car park, and then back again the other way.
10. Around the self-service photo machines there are also lots of loose receipts to be had.

I'm sure there are loads more wombling tips but these are just a few that can really help with getting your clubcard points up.

Found 210 points today from quick scoot around Bar Hill car park in Cambs. Thats nearly 10 quid in deals and well worth the detour.

What tips has anyone else got to share?

I could be wrong, but... it seems like scroungers finding other peoples receipts, than pretending it is their own and claiming the Tesco club points off them.

I'd call it obtaining goods by deception myself, but since Tesco make so much profit, they think its justified.

    Flame on...
  • Waste not, want not Soprano...

If you found a quid on the floor, would you pick it up?

I agree, so why are we discussing it here? There's a clear forum policy agains the promotion of criminal activity.

Or is OK to discuss crimes that are relatively easy to get away with ;)
    Can I help?

Yes, but I wouldn't then go and pretend it had been mine all along.

Don't you think Tesco are getting just a BIT suspicious that you're spending £10,000 a week on lots of credit cards in other people's names?
    Can I help?
  • rules at our store are 3 receipts dated within 28 days - i can always tell when receipts have spent time on the floor and make sure i stick to the rules if i don't i will be talked too. 2 members of staff are currently being watched for this same practice (wombling)
i'm living in a parallel universe

aha now I know thanks Soprano I think I'll give that a miss, I remember when people used to sit in Mcds car park waiting for people to throw away packaging so they could try and get the monopoly stickers, all sounds a bit seedy and too much effort to me
    :p
