Hi there
A friend on the forums pointed out this thread to me and I'd like to sign up for the challenge. No particular motivations bar losing weight and getting my blood pressure to drop a little. Going to the doctors' in two months and I'd like to lose maybe half a stone by then and have my BP drop back to normal levels...
I've only just become debt free and am hoping that the reduced stress as regards money will also help me on my way to improved health...
My challenge starts today!
Ps. I'm a guy - good to see I'm not the only one on this thread0 -

*Slinks in, ashamedly*
Hi guys, I've been lurking here for a bit, but haven't quite got round to joining. Now that I've actually revealed my lurkerdom in sending someone over here to join (without actually having done so myself), I realise that I need to reveal myself and get my trainers on.
My name is Pickle and I need to get fit and lose some weight.
I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet, but I feel that it will involve walking, at least at the beginning. I need to figure out a route near where I live that is not too far, yet long enough to do some good. I'll start adding other things from there.
I can go for a walk on Tuesday and Saturday this week, and I'll have to see whether or not I'm working on Sunday to see if I can fit one in then. I will make a point of doing it another day if I can't.
*Slinks back out*Please call me 'Pickle'

Welcome Pickle - glad you have joined. My advice is to start slow and then increase the pace. With the walking try to walk a little faster than you normally do and swing your arms to increase your heart rate.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0

Please can I join?
I've lost a stone and a half over the last 18 months through eating sensibly, doing a pole classand jogging but with all the snow this year I haven't managed to get out much for my (self imposed minimum) 3 jogs a week. I'm seriously lacking in motivation but desperately don't want all my hard work to go to waste
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Definately polesalot. Congrats on the weight lost. Will add you to the list.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0
