    Hi,
I haven't got time to look through the whole thread, so sorry if this has already been posted. After my GHD's broke recently was panicking about how to find the money to meplace them and came across parts on ebay. So bought new lead (£4.99) and OH replaced. Still not working so bought a new fuse (£3.99) There are video instructions included, but this was very fiddly. Anyway eventually managed to change fuse and they are now working. Hope this is of help to someone.

Oh, just noticed that emilyjayne has already posted about this, sorry.
  • ASOS have the ghd Limited Edition Pretty In Pink Hair Straightener Box Set for £125.00 at the minute but there is a 20% off code of "asossurvey" listed in "discount codes and vouchers" taking total price down to £105.95 including postage, couldn't seem to get vouchers for 20% off and free delivery to work at the same time. Been looking everywhere and this is the best deal i've found by far.

    Hope this helps someone.

    Hi there

After almost 3 years together, my GHDs decided to pop their cloggs last week. They would work holding them one way, then go off when you moved them. After a quick look at this thread i decided to order a new cable from ghdsrepairs.co.uk via ebay & have a go at fixing them myself. Cable only cost £5.99 + 99p postage, so what did i have to lose ? Ordered cable on sunday night & it arrived this morning (Wed). Theres a video on their site showing you exactly what to do, followed this & i am extremely pleased to now say....They work ! !
Was very easy to do, & i'm hardly a DIY goddess.

If this had happened a few months ago I would have thrown them away & forked out the money for a new pair, but after discovering this site I am a new woman ;). Saved myself money & boosted my ego with my new found DIY skills haha !

So thanks to everyone on this thread who discussed repairing them etc, MSE's on here never cease to amaze me with their help & advice.

    Thanks !

I ordered a wire on the 7th of October, money came out the bank on the 9th and im still waiting on it....
  • hey guys, just read through this thread and thought id recommend these guys for repairs and stuff, they also have some 2nd hand ones tho ya have to ring up about the stock

lookup "ghd repair shop" on google
(wont let me post links yet on here)

sent the wifes there a few months ago and they were fantastic, saved a fortune and even bought some 2nd hand ones for my daughter.

    Saved me a fortune!!

I was asked to find a pair of pink ghds as cheap as possible. I was looking on Ebay for pink ghds but there seems to be different shades of pink. Can anyone tell me which shade of pink are the most recent ghds and where can I get them cheaply?
