  • Hi guys, new here!!
I want to get my girlfriend GHDs for xmas, from either

    https://www.beautysleuth.co.uk
    or
    https://www.hqhair.com

But because she lives with me and i might be at work when they are delivered, I just wanted to know wether the packaging from these retailers have any mentioning as to where the product is from i.e wether it says HGhair.com on the box, or wether it has the price of the item on the packaging, because i don't want her to have a clue as to what i'm getting her this xmas!

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: oh and i really don't know which ones to get the wide ones or the original ones, seen as i have no idea about hair! lol Is it just safer to get the wide ones, because im guesing that will cater for "thick and textured hair" and also do whatever the original ones do!

Yes hqhair do put their name on the address label, but not the price.

I think the thick ones are for long hair rather than thick hair?

  • Thanks Dan29!
Its just that on the website it said that the wide ones are for Very loong, thick coarse or curly hair and she has naturally curly hair.

    Anybody know about beautysleuth then?

I am looking for a pair of these and think I will buy them from Tesco - ££99 incl del but using a 500 point code worth £20 in deals :)

Diamond Dog if she has naturally curly hair I would go for the wide one :)

  • Thanks savingsgirl, i think i am going to go for the wide ones.

So, i've found out that my girlfriend is working on wednesday, when i have the day off! So can someone just confirm that they do actually upgrade all GHD orders to next day special delivery (as stated on the site), that way i will order on tuesday morning for it to arrive on the wednesday  and it will still be before the last order day for xmas (21st)
Oh and do they give you a tracking number?

Thanks, and sorry for all the questions :o

I ordered from hqhair last Monday night. They sent an e-mail at midday on Thursday saying "Due to the huge increase in Christmas orders we are currently running slightly behind our usual UK delivery times of 24-48 hours. Please expect your order within 72 hours from your order date, we kindly ask you to refrain from calling us about the whereabouts of your order until after 72 hours."

The order was sent special delivery (next day) and arrived on Friday. hq didn't send me a tracking number as far as I can remember.

  • tescos are selling ghd straigtners but they do have the name on them ! however they are fairly good value and to be honest u cant go wrong with tescos..... check out them online
  • Hi there, i have recently been looking at some GHD minis online, and can get them for £69. I know that there is a new series coming out in 2007, and i want to know whether i should be able to get last series' in the January sales, or whether i should get the new series. Thanks A Lot
  • I bought ghds in 2005, they broke the other week and was lost without them. I was bought nicky clarke ones for xmas from tesco at about 25quid with the curling tongs and i'm really not happy with them. My mum saw the 10quid straightners in tescos and got them for travelling, and i'm converted, i am going to go and buy some of those instead, they are just like GHDs!!! Well worth it!!!

  • My daughter had some GHDs which she was lost without when they broke (loose wiring). BUT she sent them back to GHD to be repaired and received a new set FREE within few days. Hannah111 - why not send your's back and see what happens.
