Just spent ages in the kitchen preparing some food for tonights dinner and I felt really good about myself. I logged onto another message board I go on and asked for serving suggestions and I have been accused of not making them and to "go look at the packaging for serving suggestions..."

So now I feel low again and completely useless, feel like I am no good at anything. Going to find somewhere to cry for a while

    Aww I'm sorry bunnie :(
If you want to talk, send me a PM sweetie :)

How rude of them. Ignore them, they are ignorant.

If you want to PM me too for a chat, feel free.

What are you cooking tonight - I could come up with some suggestions

Thank you both, I feel better now I have cried a bit

I have made asparagus in puff pastry, I prepared them early to stop the kitchen getting too messy later.

Oooh sounds lovely! I really like puff pastry, I'm often a bit too heavy handed with it is my only problem.

I'm feeling pretty rotten - why do I let comments that aren't aimed at me, and that are said by really nice people upset me?

Lovely, we are having jacket spuds tonight.

Did you make the pastry or buy ready made? I use ready made, can't do pastry.

Were you wanting to know what to put with it? I would suggest jacket spuds, microwave them first otherwise they will take forever to cook, finish in the oven with the pastry.

If someone upsets you, even unintentionally, it still hurts.

The 'old style' thread is usually good for getting suggestions for food and other money saving issues (unless, heaven forbid, it was that thread you used)

I've always found the 'old style' thread really helpful so fortunately it wasn't them, was on a completely different forum. I bought the pastry, I am terrible at making it.

Thanks for the serving suggestions, I just cannot think straight at the moment, feel really groggy

New potatoes would also be nice with the asparagus, or something simple like a tomato salad? Although it's a bit chilly for salad today. Sounds delicious anyway Bunnie, hope you enjoy it.

I am having to use leftovers as it is shopping day tomorrow.

I found some lettuce so making a side salad for the spuds. We have cold meat to add to it too if he want some.
