    Thanks all hug2.gifhug2.gifhug2.gifhug2.gifhug2.gifhug2.gif

I know I am normally the positive one here and keep saying it is worth it, but is it? Having seriously major doubts here. A large part of me feels that it would be best if I just end it all.

How am I going to get thro today?

I have got a cold and feel very tired and grumpy.

I woke up too early and my husband was still home. I didn't see him but wanted to be alone big time. The generator started up at 8am, as soon as it was light, so will be stuck with that till 4pm or till it is dark. The generator isn't so bad, it is their shouting I hate. It sounds so chavvy and this is my home where I should be getting peace. Big joke me getting peace. I haven't had any for 10 years in my home!!!

Thankfully my son is asleep but really hope he vacummed his cupboard last night! I will be really peed off if he hasn't.

I put something onto DVD and it ran out 6 minutes short of the programme, so have to do it again.

    I feel really stressed today.

It is my day off before the Christmas jobs and feel they are all in my face!

PS. Blinky, was the PM as circular?, as it was addressed to Sazbo. Sorry to hear about your stressful weekend, I can certainly relate to feeling disturbed when you need peace!!

This week is a hard week to get thro isn't it?

The darkest week of the year, at least it is dry and less wild tho'

There seems to be a nasty cold around just now, just when you need to be OK for the last minute Christmas preparations.

I just want some peace in my home. Why do they have to torture me this close to Christmas when I am underpar?:(

Please do not give up - whatever has happened I am sure that a bit of time and space will help sort it out.

    Big hugs to everybody.

Good point about medication as my thyroxine runs out on Christmas eve!

After a horrible year I have decided to just relax and not get stressed this Christmas and just enjoy the fact that I have all four dds and DH around me.

    Hi cc!:hello:
I'd prefer not to have such a lousy choice. ;) It doesn't always have to be so black and white. If the family sucks at least you have the choice to stay away and enjoy some peace. Christmas alone is harder if you don't want to be alone. At least you know there'll be something half decent on TV for once!
What I would really prefer is a day when I can just lay my problems down and enjoy whatever there is to enjoy. And I'd be very grateful for it. However you do it guys, as I said, cut yourself a small slice of happiness somehow on the day. hug.gif;)
    Much Love,

When I was younger, my ideal Christmas would have been spent all day in bed, sleeping and watching what TV was decent. Eating nibbles and drinking if I feel like it. I don't tend to like drinking alone tho', makes me sad and depressed. Booze can make me enjoy company more but it can make me grumpy and irritable. Trouble is it isn't predictable and I don't know it till it is too late! I notice it can turn bad if someone/thing annoys me at the point where the booze is kicking in or it can go well if someone/thing makes me happy at that point!

I think it is the dark days. I was very sensitive to SAD, still am but it isn't so bad this year. I am more disliking the light nights, as it brings the neighbours out, so the dark nights were more welcome this year!

You are expected to be all cheerful because it is Christmas, it goes on for weeks before and great if you don't have much to do. By the time it arrives I am sick of it and if I have a cold and it is dark, then I feel like hibernating.

We drove past the John Smith's brewery, on the way to York. last week and thought of you:)

Bad timing about the running out! I am sure you can get some more before Sunday.

    Big hugs to you too:)

You were only a couple of streets away from me then - I can see the Tower brewery (as it used to be called) from my window.

Happy Christmas everybody and a happy new year.

After the year we have had I really look forward to 2007!

    Hi mac!:hello:
How are you hun? I think there are several possibilities for the annual Christmas turkey fest so maybe because...
    - we are sick of having chicken for a lot of Sunday roast dinners & other
    meals throughout the year!
    - you always have people around at Christmas lunch - can you imagine
roasting 8 chickens separately so everyone would have enough?
Skyscraper ovens are what we need!:D
    - most people prefer breast meat and turkeys are more well-endowed in that
region whereas a chicken is flat-chested in comparison!:o
    - they had all the other animals at the Nativity - even the sheep turned up!
But did you see any turkey?! So this is payback. (no religious offence
    meant:o)
    - if we didn't have them on Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Easter
Sunday as is the tradition, we'd be over-run by them! Do you see how big
    they get?!!!

    I think too much don't I?puppyeyes.gif:rotfl:

Turkeys can be so massive, so great for mass catering. You can also get good large beef, lamb, venison or pork joints. Good theory about why it is turkey tho'

I don't understand why it tastes so different to chicken tho. Even game birds aren't much different, slightly richer and I like the taste but never tried goose tho'. Turkey reminds me of pork and I don't like pork at all!

Now my son is grown up, we will have Christmas our way next year (if we are still together!)

This is the second year we are seeing my mother and husband. We had a year to ourself at the end of the building work, so too frazzled! She visited us for two years running before then. Trouble is I hate crowds, so don't want to go somewhere too noisy/busy.

We were on the A64. My husband is from Yorkshire and knew about the 'old' brewery too:)

My son is rather partial to it. Was on special deal.

I originally PM'ed Sazbo last night. Yourself and the others asked I PMed and it seemed silly to rewrite what I had sent.

Sorry to hear your having a crappy day :(

    Take care hun
