    Hi ethel - me again!
    Hope you're okay angel. hug.gif
I'm sorry for worrying you all... I'm fine, son is fine. House is a bit of a mess but i'll fix it.=quote]
If you apologise hun then I'll send Sazzter round to slap you with a wet flannel and that hurts - ask Miro!;) I have no doubt at all that you'll fix it hun - the point is you shouldn't have to.

After a lot of arguing, things calmed down and we talked. He's having a crap time at work and worrying about his dad who had a burst ulcer a few months ago and isn't recovering as well as hoped. He hadn't told me any of this - although it doesn't justify his behaviour, THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION. Turns out he's also been smoking a lot of weed :/ ... here was me in my naivety thinking he'd given it up months ago :o . I've been so busy that I didn't notice.
The words in that paragraph that you need to concentrate on are the 4 in capital letters. Because that's what it's like hun - there's always reasons to be found. And you have to ask yourself hun - do you really want to spend any more time than possible with a volatile drug user? Some people believe weed is harmless but my time working in a mental health clinic showed me otherwise - it can lead to a whole range of mental ill health problems. I'm not starting a thread on weed either for or against guys:rolleyes: - I just want you to be aware of all possibilities from my 1st hand work experiences.

I'm spitting fur here angel! You don't need to think about why he did it hun - only WHAT he did. You were worried for your son. I can't believe he is asking you for money hun! Use that money to get your locks changed and get that furball out of your life for good!!! Point him in the direction of CAB and DWP and let him get on with it. There may even be friends he could go to. Wherever, the last place he should be right now is under your roof angel! You already said how he'd try to softsoap his way out of it and lo, what has happened? Honey, I believe everyone deserves chances and with help a leopard can sometimes change it's spots - but you haven't got a leopard ethel hun - you've got a leech!
He knows I don't want to continue the relationship.. there have just been too many things over too long a time for it to be fixable. He's gone to work today thankfully so... bit of peace, lol. He'll be calm for a while now so I'm not worried bout him being here but there is no going back to what we were.
Ethel sweetheart, why should you be grateful for peace in your own home?
This above paragraph was quoted from your next post. Your own words should set all the alarm bells ringing hun "He'll be calm for a while now..."!
Oh ethel hug.gif- only until the next time hun. Can you take the chance that nothing will happen before the 20th? What's going to happen next time? Don't you think that maybe leading up to the 20th, he'll become more and more unsettled? pigfly.gif!
Not one of us has said "I'm sure he didn't mean it - it'll be alright - he won't do it again - you guys can work it out." Not one of us has said that to you ethel and that's because we can see it objectively hun.

I know how awful the situation must be - I know exactly how it is. Ethel - I'm not having a go at you okay. In situations like this angel, you can't take anything for granted - the welfare of you and your son are what's most important. If it was up to me angel, the next series of "I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Outta Here!" would be serving his testicles instead and leaving a more deserving kangaroo with his own!!!
If I've got it all wrong I hope you'll let me know. I just worry about you hun that's all - I mean it all with good intentions. If I can do anything, just yell hun.hug.gif
After all I've heard, I'm a very ticked off Tiff!!! Sorry guys.:o

Any really good doctor would have realised that the comment at the end was the important one that really worried the patient.

She sounds like an opinionated ,intolerant ,insensitive "jobsworth" -just what you do not want as a doctor.

Can you tell that I am a bit peeved!

Is there anyone that could make another appointment for you with a different doctor and explain the situation?

I do not mean that you are not perfectly competent - just that sometimes it is easier for someone else to explain the situation and that they are worried about you.

Big hug and I hope that doctor gets a parking ticket!!!

    Quack alert!!

I have had my fair share, they seem to be everywhere when you need the help the most.

    Try another one.

Word of warning - do NOT write and complain about a doctor's bad attitude. Our whole family got kicked out of the practice because I complained about a doctor with a bad attitude, that is how much of a a/hole the doctor was!

He said he would not take any of us back unless I sent a written apology - I flatly refused and would have rather died than apologise to the idiot!

But she took the fact i've taken so long to mean "I can cope".
Did she get her diploma from a dodgy online website?

Awww tiffy.... you gave me so many smiles with your post.. and so much wisdom too :)

He knows he's on borrowed time.. he keeps saying things like.. if I'm still here then I'll do this or that.. and he looks at me as if waiting for me say something but I don't. We had a hotchpotch dinner tonight... and he commented on it so I said I'm trying to get the freezer and cupboards empty so i can clean them out properly and do a big shop... he says why? I wont be here will I so how you gonna afford it? I thank my lucky stars that I was savvy enough not to let him know all my financial business... might be a bit tighter without him but we'll manage just fine :D

The man who came to fix the sealant round my bath and sinks n stuff today very kindly replaced the broken plug sockets for me without commenting or charging :) (bf had punched the plugs that were plugged in and smashed the whole things, he's got bleedy bruised knuckles now, serves the fekker right!)

So long as he behaves himself he can stay til he gets paid.. I can understand that he doesn't want to burden his mother what with the worry of his father n all that.. but that's it.

Thanks again everyone.. you're all so wonderful and kind and thoughtful and wise... dunno what I'd do without you :T

A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."

I'm off to Yorkshire tomorrow, very early to visit her, do our pre Xmas duty. We only saw her 6 weeks ago.

Shall wave to Blinky as we pass thro' Newcastle and elona near to York - I presume the shopping areas are open late every night this pre Xmas:D

Sounds like a soggy journey ahead:(
