    Hi

Weather is really sh*te. My son was supposed to put up the outside lights but it's sh*te, feel really annoyed. It was OK Saturday and forecast to be sh*te the rest of the week. Supposed to be going out on Thursday and if it's like this I ain't going!

This isn't pre Xmas weather, cold and crisp frost or snow is the order not this bl**dy cr*p.

Sorry for the expletives but why??? It is so boring:mad:

Didn't sleep till 4 ish and just got up. Supposed to clear later - ooh look saw a pink flying pig!
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

Thsnks. My family live 200 miles away so I don't get to see them very often. My OH and I were going to go down on christmas eve and stay with them for 4 days over christmas, but since the dr says I'll be off work til christmas I'm going to go down a few days earlier and spend time with my family just me, then OH will come down christmas eve as planned.

I do feel really positive on the good days, but then I feel so bad on the bad days that it's like being back at square one again. I'm trying hard to stay busy so that I don't sit around brooding but sometimes I just don't want to get up. Just taking it a day at a time.

On a hair related note, I've been dying my hair blonde for a year or so now but I'm beginning to worry about what it'll be doing to the condition of my hair. Thinking of going back to brown. Good idea or will I regret it?
I dyed my then mousy hair pure white for 20 years, yes Marilyn Monroe white!

One day in 1999, I felt it looked dated and awful, grew the roots for a couple of months to see the colour and it was a lovely mid brown. I got the hairdresser to match it and stayed this colour. It is now 36 inches long too!

My mother lives 450 miles from me but telephoning her isn't expensive. My other family members are 250 and 350 miles away too.

I don't know of the right place to post this but my mother in law had a couple of strokes this last week. She has been in and out of hospital for ages so don't know how severe it is. Shall hear later whether we have to dash off or whether they are mild. My brother is law lives about 200 miles from her and ends up having to going to see her whenever she has any scare. He is her favoured one but he is getting p'ssd off with it. We have a more complicated journey than he has so do it less. But my husband isn't as valued, it isn't my imagination, my mother notices it and so do I!

Obviously, I don't want medical advice, but was wondering if this will be it and make the journey this weekend or leave her till the new year?

    Tiff, I fully understand.

My father died 4 and a half years ago and at the first year, I met up with my mother as the first anniversary is the most painful. It does get easier but sometimes I want to ask my dad a question.

Blinky is talking a lot of sense tonight - echoing what I think:)

Miro - can I ask both your birthdays/star signs - some people are sceptical and I am very sceptical about a lot of things but I do find star signs pretty accurate. It would help me work out where you both are astrologically and how you can both understand each other.

If anyone else wishes to volunteer their star sign info feel free.

Let me give you an example, I know the star sign of my husbands boss and seen his picture. I have told my husband his star sign traits and he says he is described to a tee. It also helps my husband know how to handle him and what to expect of him.

My guess is the Geminilady is a Taurus:D

I'm on the cusp - Gemini/Cancer - June 21 - well it was the cusp when I was younger, they may have changed the rules :o

She is March 29, I have no idea what that is.........hang on, I've never believed in Astrology - we won't be compatible anyway :o

    'S' is Aries

Good Morning Guys! :hello: :shhh: :xmassign:
Well, I feel I've got to start with an apology to you. I'm sorry I haven't been around or helping as much as I should. I know many of you knew that it was a year since my Dad passed away, but it was only 4 days later (last Wednesday) that it was the anniversary of me being held hostage and nearly dying. So you see last week I was in a bit of a low to say the least. But I have read all the posts and I hope you'll all believe me when I say that I've been sending you all virtual hugs and thinking of you all. I think you are all special people and as I've sat out this last week, I can see how you're all moving ahead - yes, even you Miro.;) I just want to mention a few people before I plough on.

To Rosie :hello:Hi angel. Thank you for the PM hun. You've been on my mind a lot. I think you're so brave and I'm proud of you for getting the help you want and deserve. It takes a lot of courage to be where you're at :T and you and I both know that it won't be forever - you're getting this help to get the best future you can. You're even able to say 'Time Out!' for now which is a way of looking after yourself - well done. ;) You get back here quickly when you feel you can hun - it's only Sazzy, me, a chair and a whip that's between Miro and the smartie cupboard!:naughty::eek: :D
I'm so glad I've been able to help angel and I shall keep watching for Rose posts. Please know you're part of the gang always and that you've helped so many through rough patches -be it with advice or smiles -or wellies!
Be kind to yourself angel and we'll be thinking of you.hug.gif xxx:grouphug:

To fg:hello:Hi hun, you've been making good progress too.:T I understand you're trying to find your way like Rose and I'm proud of you for that.;) I hope you'll be able to visit the gang here - as with Rose, you'll always be a part of the gang. We've laughed and we've cried with you and you too have always helped. Good luck feelie!:grouphug:xxx

To Sazzy :hello: Hi angel. Just wanted to say thanks for thinking of me and the kind thoughts. I'm glad Saz Palace is still standing after that awful weather - I was thinking of you and hoping all was still standing. I was worried about Tiff Towers for a while too! :D You've been golden with your advice to the peeps and I've missed ya! hug.gifxxx
    Now, about Miro...gossip.gif :rotfl:

And to elona, ethel, miro, cc, mac, gilly, bunnie, gemini, flis, blinky, stenny, ruby, et al, you are a special lot and I'm thinking of you all. This thread is amazing but it wouldn't be anything without all of you. I'm sorry I've been away so long but hopefully I'll be back to normal now - yes I know, I wasn't normal in the first place! - and will be able to help/listen if I can.
Wishing you all a magical Monday!
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

No need for apologies, we all understand sometimes we need time out :)

Hope is all well with you

PS - Not sure i'm making progress though :o

    Hi all,

I had to be awake and by the phone by 8am for the dole phone interview.
    They called at 10.
I am waiting til 2pm to do the doctor appointment dash. Going about ear & back (and hopefully a new sign off) and going to raise depression issues. Tremendously nervous about it. Im from Brum and men dont have these sort of issues where I come from. I don't feel too bad today either - i just hear some of your stories and I think "what the hell am i moaning about compared to these people with real problems" - i dunno.

CC - long hair eh? I like it.
Long live long hair and rock music. I am growing mine (going for the dishevelled look). But I know that it will have to go if I want to be employed again. Unless I can lose weight and look like the whole image is meant (rather than a fat bloke who can't be bothered to get his hair cut).

Quiet on here today - but that's a good sign on a depression thread I guess.

God bless us one and all.
Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else

CC hun you probably need more information about her current condition in order to make that decision? Although might be worth visiting her before xmas if it's do-able, rather than leave till new year? Just my thoughts hun, Sxx
