Hey you're talking to the expert of negative self-perception.
Low self esteem + confidence and depression are very closely related and it's not uncommon to have both.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

Blinky is talking a lot of sense tonight - echoing what I think:)
Miro - can I ask both your birthdays/star signs - some people are sceptical and I am very sceptical about a lot of things but I do find star signs pretty accurate. It would help me work out where you both are astrologically and how you can both understand each other.
If anyone else wishes to volunteer their star sign info feel free.
Let me give you an example, I know the star sign of my husbands boss and seen his picture. I have told my husband his star sign traits and he says he is described to a tee. It also helps my husband know how to handle him and what to expect of him.
My guess is the Geminilady is a Taurus:DAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't believe in astrology but hey. I'm an Aquarian, 'R' is a Scorpio
Doesn't matter what the stars reckon, we are compatible:kisses2: :happyhear :happyhear

Good Morning Guys! :hello: :shhh: :xmassign:
Well, I feel I've got to start with an apology to you. I'm sorry I haven't been around or helping as much as I should. I know many of you knew that it was a year since my Dad passed away, but it was only 4 days later (last Wednesday) that it was the anniversary of me being held hostage and nearly dying. So you see last week I was in a bit of a low to say the least. But I have read all the posts and I hope you'll all believe me when I say that I've been sending you all virtual hugs and thinking of you all. I think you are all special people and as I've sat out this last week, I can see how you're all moving ahead - yes, even you Miro.;) I just want to mention a few people before I plough on.
To Rosie :hello:Hi angel. Thank you for the PM hun. You've been on my mind a lot. I think you're so brave and I'm proud of you for getting the help you want and deserve. It takes a lot of courage to be where you're at :T and you and I both know that it won't be forever - you're getting this help to get the best future you can. You're even able to say 'Time Out!' for now which is a way of looking after yourself - well done. You get back here quickly when you feel you can hun - it's only Sazzy, me, a chair and a whip that's between Miro and the smartie cupboard!
I'm so glad I've been able to help angel and I shall keep watching for Rose posts. Please know you're part of the gang always and that you've helped so many through rough patches -be it with advice or smiles -or wellies!
Be kind to yourself angel and we'll be thinking of you.xxx:grouphug:
To fg:hello:Hi hun, you've been making good progress too.:T I understand you're trying to find your way like Rose and I'm proud of you for that.;) I hope you'll be able to visit the gang here - as with Rose, you'll always be a part of the gang. We've laughed and we've cried with you and you too have always helped. Good luck feelie!:grouphug:xxx
To Sazzy :hello: Hi angel. Just wanted to say thanks for thinking of me and the kind thoughts. I'm glad Saz Palace is still standing after that awful weather - I was thinking of you and hoping all was still standing. I was worried about Tiff Towers for a while too!:rolleyes:You've been golden with your advice to the peeps and I've missed ya!

Now, about Miro...:rotfl:
And to elona, ethel, miro, cc, mac, gilly, bunnie, gemini, flis, blinky, stenny, ruby, et al, you are a special lot and I'm thinking of you all. This thread is amazing but it wouldn't be anything without all of you. I'm sorry I've been away so long but hopefully I'll be back to normal now - yes I know, I wasn't normal in the first place! - and will be able to help/listen if I can.
Wishing you all a magical Monday!
Much Love,

Tiff wrote:Hey sleepy!
Sending you hugs angel. You've been doing really well, been very brave, been very smart in following drs orders and I'm proud of you hun.:T It's natural for you to feel this way hun - things are still raw for you. Yes, most companies don't invite partners to these parties any more; the smaller companies, fair enough because they can't afford it probably and you can't have the guests outnumber the staff.
You went from having a day full of love and people, to being on your own hun - of course you felt low!;)
What was really encouraging to me from your post - although you may not agree hun - is that you said you were happy when your house was full and you also said that you "have good days and bad days and I have no control over it." These are two good positives. :T You will have good days and bad days angel like everyone in this world and the best defence against bad days is to have a plan ready for when they hit too hard (someoone to talk to, hobby, music, relaxation etc.). Have you made Christmas plans yet hun? Maybe... would it be possible for you to stay with your family over the holidays so you can benefit from their love and support? Do they live far away? Could OH go to - even if just on the weekends? It may do you a power of good hun. You need TLC sleepy, so if you're able to put yourself first for once hun, do it.
Just a little Tiffy Tip sweetheart - don't try and get control of yourself and get depressed over it. Mental ill health doesn't work like that hun. What you will be able to do is survive and manage it!;) You keep us posted hun. I'll be back on later to check on everyone. Can't believe I've been reading the posts since gone 5am! :rotfl:
Much Love

Thsnks. My family live 200 miles away so I don't get to see them very often. My OH and I were going to go down on christmas eve and stay with them for 4 days over christmas, but since the dr says I'll be off work til christmas I'm going to go down a few days earlier and spend time with my family just me, then OH will come down christmas eve as planned.
I do feel really positive on the good days, but then I feel so bad on the bad days that it's like being back at square one again. I'm trying hard to stay busy so that I don't sit around brooding but sometimes I just don't want to get up. Just taking it a day at a time.
On a hair related note, I've been dying my hair blonde for a year or so now but I'm beginning to worry about what it'll be doing to the condition of my hair. Thinking of going back to brown. Good idea or will I regret it?0
