fg... sounds like my marriage was a lot like yours, from the outside everyone thought he was perfect but in fact he was a controlling bully but he did it so subtly no one realised but me :/ and it took me years to realise it too  although things got really really bad before i had the guts to get out of it.
    What did he do?

Mine blows hot and cold. When you think you will get some happy moments, mine starts withdrawing emotionally. The things he has spoilt are too numerous to list here but I don't look forward to happy events any more with him!

Right, I've applied for IB, now just need to get my head around DLA.
I'm taking postive steps to get better. I should be able to leave resonably soon.

Excellent news feelinggood - hope it works out well. :T Sorry to hear you're feelin so low. Wish there was something more I could do.

I slept well, trouble is I want to stay in bed. Definitely in hibernation mode just now. It is so cold and windy. It makes me lazy and want to be cosy.

I know that hibernation feeling far too well. I don't think I have SAD - the heat in the summer causes me havoc too (and the SSRI's don't help with their overheating + sweating side effects). I'm more of a spring man.

Geminilady - hug3.gifhug3.gifhug3.gif. I did read all your post and it touched me. I can relate with a lot of what you say. You're definitely right about depression being more than just a chemical imbalance - it's far more complex than that. I have read one site where the people think one reason is we get too much REM sleep - it might help with the neurotransmitter levels but psycological experiences / scars are an important factor in my mind. Glad you've met 'N' and I hope things continue to go well.

You'd soon realise how unlucky you were :o

I know this is the pot calling the kettle black :o:o but try not to put yourself down. Yes, I know its bloody hard - we're so use to doing it.

Keep going, you've got so much to look forward too :)
So does everyone here - it's just so damm difficult to see what at times.

Miro - the hugs are just hugs. Take them as females hugging you if you want. They were aimed at everyone. Hope I didn't offend you - I didn't intend to. :o

Relationships more trouble than they are worth?

Amazing how 1 person can affect everything.

In general, no. Some relationships are but many aren't. You will find someone -it can't say if it will be 'S' but you will. I thought for years I wouldn't find anyone. All relationships have ups and downs - it's part of the course of life. As for your second sentence - it's one of the things which makes us human.

    Glad the performance went well

I think the presentation went ok.. no feedback yet but we did get applause at the end so maybe it was ok :)

fekkin bus strike meant I had to walk bloody miles and I twisted me foot and had to keep going so it's killing now.. swollen up like a mofo too  and I'm soo sleepy.. i could crash now, lol

Glad the presentation went well. Sorry to hear about your foot and hope it's better soon. Maybe you can use it for some good and get your OH to do some of the chores?

It Can be different - I can empathise with what you say. I don't have the energy to write a long reply your post needs and deserves. Will try and write more later in the week.

To everyone - another day of some good, thought provoking posts. Thank you all. Sorry I can't reply to everything. :o:o

Time for bed. Start work at 7am...

    Sleep well and take care.

I hated this summer, Blinky. Noisy neighbours in the garden, light too late, which upsets my sleep pattern and the heat was terrible, even in Scotland!

I love Spring too - when all the spring flowers bloom and it is warmer but not hot.

I just find most of it boring. Watching other people sit around doesn't interest me. A lot of the 'Celebrity' stuff is just Z-listers trying to resurrect their failing careers - it's even worse when they continually winge.

I think the only one I would watch at the moment would be the dancing one. The jungle one is too cruel for me

    Rant over

  • Morning Guys, I'm not the latest awake today!
Off for a walk this morning with a friend, should be nice to get some fresh air. Hopefully it'll help me clear my head, who knows.
Feeling resonably good this morning, still confused, still fancying a drink (9am is too early isn't it?) but I'm taking it one minute at a time.
I've got something to look forward to now, which is nice. Will focus on that.
And, I'm still on track to give up smoking on Saturday. This time next week I'll be a non smoker :)
Hope you all are doing well, its a beautiful morning here, got to remember to appreciate the small things like that :) Usually, that fact that the world is beautiful makes me more unhappy - how can I be miserable when the world is so pretty, and I end up feeling guilty. But, today, I'm just going to allow myself to enjoy it :)
I'm thinking of you all, take care x
