Thanksc cstar needed a hug today,i can't figure out how to do a new post so have done it this way.I have not posted for a while but have been reading the posts and i just want to say what lovely people are in this forum. It really helps to listen people with similar problems.I have suffered with depression on and off all my life and i think most of it is down to a fealing of being unloved and going by a lot of the posts quite a few others feal the same wether they are in relationships or not.We all need to feal loved, its a basic human need and if we don't is it any wonder we get depressed? Not saying that is the cause of everyones depression, there are lots of causes and of course sometimes there is no reason its just the balance of chemicals in the brain that gets out of kilter.I have been on anti-depressants a few times over the years but in my case they only help me to live with my problems not cure them so managing without for now.I also suffer from very low self esteem which i have just realised would be much helped if i had someone who loved me,so easy to say but not that easy to get.I always care about guys who don't feal the same.story of my life and if i did find one who cared i proberly wouldn't believe him lol. There is someone i have strong fealings for at the moment,i'll call him"N" lol we will soon have all the alphabet on here,Miro with "S" and blinky with "R" It is a very strange relationship i have with "N" if you can call it that,we met online and have only met in person twice in four years although the second time was recently. The rest of the time we comunicate by text.I can't make him out,as he has been texting so long i must fill some sort of need but what that is i don't know.I know for my own good i should stop the texts, don't think he will ever feal the same as me but can't find the strength at the moment.Texts are better than nothing.Sorry this is turning into a book lol will finish as it is nearly lunchtime.

I think we are all in the same boat, we're not sure 100% what's going on with these 'alphabet' people, but yes, texts are better than nothing.

Finding someone is hard, and I agree, when you meet someone who likes you, it's like "Nah"

I'm gonna find the strength and say "Sod it, this is me, love me or leave me, I am who I am. I may not be Brad Pitt, but i'm one helluva nice guy"

You'd soon realise how unlucky you were :o

Anyway, it's not like I have 'S', or will have any time soon.

It would be easier for me to find someone else who actually communicated themselves over once in a while, someone maybe from Neptune who I may be able to work out, rather than 'S' the strangest girl i've ever met (I've met plenty!) but the fact is, I like her alot.

Keep going, you've got so much to look forward too :)

    - I think that's a very good way to proceed, IMO. Not just for S, but for yourself as well x

Well, even if they weren't, i'd get further with them than 'S'. One very weird young lady. Absolutely adoreable, but harder to work out, than the plot on 'Lost'

I meant it as a general rule for anything anyway. I've already told 'S' I won't change who I am, but am open to compromise about some things.

Maybe she's frightened off as she had me pencilled in for what she requires :o

Hi GL, thanks for posting. As Miro says, we are all in the same boat here. Wanting to be loved, and having a hard time finding it, not least because low self-esteem tells us we don't deserve to be happy with someone. Kinda breaks my heart to hear you say 'texts are better than nothing' - because whilst on one level I know what you mean, on the other, you deserve so much more than that. I also know exactly what you mean about not having the strength to draw a line under the situation - but the strength will come. And we're all here for you, so take care Sxx
