I know I ruined relationship that way myself before. I'm not allowed to put myself down in her presence, which is a good thing...

Nah, wasn't cute - just tiny (4lb, 2oz and in an incubator for first 6 weeks).
I'm sure you're right, I just need to utilise it to try and beat my demons.

    Great Ethel hug2.gif

Please take some heart in both of these. It takes a strong person to deal with either your own problems or your daughters. To be able to handle both takes a really strong person.:A

Glad to hear you're presentation went really well. You can give group presentations really well.

    As for my evening...

I went very well, she did pick up I was a little out of sorts when I arrived and we talked about a few things. Felt a bit better after that.
    Oh and Hug6.gif :kisses2: ...

    Sleep well everyone

    Hiya blinky...

we made lots of posts just for badness so you'd have lots to do when you got back ;)

It's good that you're not allowed to put yourself down.. you are a really great person and you need to recognise that in yourself, easier said than done I know but look at much you're liked here... if we can sense it just through written messages it must be so much more obvious in person.. not sure if I worded that right but you know what i mean I hope

Funny that you were a small baby.. I was 3lbs and 7 weeks early too.. wonder if there's a link between prems and mental health??? any other small babies here????

I think I'd probably manage a lot better if my daughter didn't have her problems, I'm constantly wracked with guilt and wondering if it's my fault tht she's the way she is (had my own battles with ED;s in the past) and she gives me such a hard time because I can't get there every day to see her like some of the other parents do, but its such a long way away and my car is not taxed or insured anymore cos I couldnt justify the cost so it's sitting idle on the drive, lol

I hate presentations with a passion  got one today and then no more til february tho so that's a good thing innit :D Bus strike today cud be an excuse not to go ;) nahh.. I couldn't let the other guy down even tho I dunno !!!!!! he's doing, he hasn't sent me his part of the seminar so I'm going in there half informed :/

Have a good one everybody.. cross everything for me at 1pm, lol

    Huggs for everyone

  • Morning guys, hugs to everyone :)
I'm alright this morning - but last night was a 1.5 on the scale (0-10, 10 being happy). I've just got to keep going, I'll get thru this.

    Morning fg...

You will find a way thru, you're stronger than you think you know.. you've survived everything til now and you'll keep surviving, whatever life throws at you. You can do it!!!

What are you seeing at the cinema flis? Cleaning is good, always helps me feel a little better :)

We are going to see The Last King of Scotland, it is one of those free previews (if any of you visit the free screening thread). Not very cheerful I don't think, about the life of Idi Amin (sp?).

I was five days late when I was born and weighed 6lbs 12oz. So not really small. Interesting theory tho!

  • Right, I've applied for IB, now just need to get my head around DLA.
I'm taking postive steps to get better. I should be able to leave resonably soon.
Have a good time tonight Flis

Hugs for all who need them. I'm a big tart when it comes giving out hugs (but that's all ;) ). Hugs are undervalued - it's good to be hugged, lowers stress levels, makes you feel warm inside.

Anyway as a cat wouldn't you rather be stroked? Stroking pets is very therapeutic as well. It has similar benefits to hugs.

Sorry to hear that. Shall I send the RSPCA round to protect you?
Cats are much more whiley than dogs. They all think they're lions or tigers deep down. A cat can beat a dog on tactics. Our dog once lost a fight with a cat....

Also my best friend's cat had a great tactic when fighting other cats. She would walk up to them, smack them on the nose before running back into the house, knowing the other cat wouldn't follow her inside :D

Hope you're feeling better soon, hun. hug2.gif

    I love cats

My cat outwitted our neighbour's dog every time and wasn't scared of anyone or anything.

I would love a cat to stroke right now - they are so in tune with me:)
