Hiya flis. I'm not too bad thanks, glad it's the weekend, thank goodness. :) You got anything nice planned?

Not really, we are a bit skint. Spent most of today doing ironing and tomorrow will probably be sorting out the spare room! In the afternoon we might go for a walk along the seafront if the weather is nice enough.

    Have you got anything planned?

Sounds like you've had an 'interesting' week :o

Hope nothing major was in the rucksack?

Hi Miro. Yeah 'interesting' that's one way of putting it! :D Well, would you believe it? Looks likes my rucksack was handed in. Amazing - I ever have that kind of luck Had a card from Lost Property this morning saying they think they have it. Probably because I only had shopping in it - olive oil, mineral water, etc - and not anything sexy like a laptop, so nobody wanted it!! :D

I'm starting to panic about tomorrow. Flatmate keeps saying she is coming to see me too, but she's just being nice. I'm just thinking this isn't gonna work, I need 'S' to respond to my note and let me know what she's thinking, as she cancelled Wednesday, didn't show yesterday and didn't even acknowledge we were meant to be visiting her today. I'm getting vibes she thinks i'm worse than the people causing her trouble, as she at least knows they exist.

Panicking not allowed ;) You'll be just fine I know you will. You are so clued in to how S is feeling and what she needs, and you have the patience of a saint - many people out there have a good deal less to offer... xx

I love walking by the seafront. Stopped in on my folks this afternoon, apart from that nothing planned. Mostly stuff around the house tomorrow. Place looks like a tip! :D

Thanks to you all for your replies.
It's just a relief to be able to express things. My OH doesn't understand. He is supportive in alot of ways but also causes me to feel worse. He seems to be able to wind the kids up ina blink of an eye then I end up as referee. Then he moans that I'm not supporting him! I can't seem to win.

He asked me if we could sit down and talk with the older 2 kids (as they are causing stress too) without me crrying. I said I doubt it! He said that that wasn't very constructive. I jsut don't think he realises how bad I feel - I don't normally burst into tears for nothing!

I know I should go and see a doc. I got a bit of a fright today cos i completed a depression scale that I use for patients (i'm a nurse!) I tried to be honest answering the questions and it scoed me as being moderately to severely depressed.

The problem is I've just taken this new job. I am worried about not being what they expect - i feel such a fraud.

At the moment i feel like a c**p mum and wife let a lone some supersmart nurse!

As flis says, do try and see your doc. These days they have to be on the ball far more and be proactive in their response to something like depression. And you are not a fraud. Your new employer has seen that you are talented and capable and you are still those things regardless of the fact that you have depression x

Mine too, even though I have been off all week (I only work term times), I seem to have been really busy and haven't quite got round to tidying up! Will have to do some of it tomorrow, otherwise by next weekend we will start to look like one of those houses on How Clean is your House? (Only kidding, it's not that bad!)

my English, although pretty good, sometimes I can't explain things the way others can :)

Your English is great Miro. You explain things exactly as they are, from the heart. More than can be said for many people I have to deal with!:)

They need clearance from environmental health to do mine! :D What are you reading at the moment flis? That's another thing you put me to shame about. I bought The Almond Blossom Appreciation Society - the third one by Chris Stewart about his life in rural Spain (I'm not good with fiction). It appeals to me the thought of upping sticks (from my dusty flat!) and starting a new life somewhere beautiful and sunny. I'm ok once I get started but it takes me AGES to get going with a book, for some reason...

I know, I am a total bookworm, would rather read than do anything else (well, almost!!). Have just finished reading Thinking Of You by Cecilia Ahern, which wasn't bad, but a bit predictable. Am now starting 'Cross' by James Patterson, who I love, so I will read that really quickly. The Alex Cross books are brilliant, they get me really hooked! After this I am going to read a new Jodi Piccoult book i got the other day, which looks really good. I swear I spend half my money on books, but have just signed up to this readitswapit.com site, which is fantastic and will save me a lot of money.
