That is terrible, some doctors are so useless.

Yeah, it is rather annoying. I sleep so much, I'm rarely awake early enough to call them.
Or is that just another excuse? Think I'm gonna have to get a mate or something to call to make me an appointment on monday.

Do you have to ring them on the day to book an appointment or can you book one in advance?

Youve got to call on the day - they don't have advance ones (unless the doctor specifically says you can)

    Hi everyone

Managed to get off at 5am and woke up at 11am.

My husband is all apologies after swearing at me for feeling panicky about missing shopping, that was found.

I can't take his shouting and swearing. I was looking forward to this weekend but he spoilt it. Typical of him, spoiling things.

I pray the builders don't make noise today and the neighbours be quiet this weekend. It is going to rain tomorrow, so should stop them being outside. I want to stay in bed to avoid my husband. I have some packing to do this weekend as well and some odd jobs but his verbal abuse or withdrawn attitude upsets me so much I can't concentrate. So much wasted life but the place is going on the market in the new year and hopefully sell quickly and I get get away.

Our lovely NHS - we can book appointments, some places need very long notice if you are dying - we can't get the doctor out to you today, can you die on the x day of December?.

My surgery isn't too bad but if you are worried in the first place, it does discourage you if it is that difficult. I blame the government - for nearly 10 years we have all been gradually stripped of our money and benefits.

I had a terrible night sleep and woke up with a migraine

Been stressing about my Mom all night because she was really abrupt with me yesterday.

Long story so bear with me:

My dad has been off sick from work since April with suspected angina which is still being investigated. At the beginning of October to doctor signed him off for another 3 months, now my parents knew that his work would finish him after paying 26 weeks of SSP but he thought he would be rolling in money.

He thought they would pay him full rate for notice period (don't have to) and that he would be paid holiday pay (he hasn't worked this financial year)

Now as far as I can gather they have finished him on the grounds of capability, especially as the doctor has told my dad he won't ever be able to do a physical job again. He says he wouldn't be able to do any other jobs because he can't read and write very well and has no computer skills.

He signed on incapacity benefits yesterday and my mom was really moody about it because she expected more money.

My biggest gripe I have is they are not prepared to help themselves, they have been living above their means. Food shopping for them comes to £80 per week (just 2 of them) and they pay out £10 on lottery, £2 pocket money to 2 of my nieces (although my other neices and nephews get nothing)

Speaking to my mom is so counterproductive for me, am thinking of cutting them out for a while. Not phoning them (they never phone me) and not going down

Sorry for the rant, need to get that off my chest

That must be so worrying for her if the money is going to go down. If they can have to cut down then they must.

You do have to look after yourself.

Just want to go and get things sorted, but don't know if I'm going to be able to. Shame really, I think it would have worked today.

Can you try again at a quieter time for an appointment later on today - will they take a booking for Monday?
