CCStar wrote:It's not over, they are still building but it was better yesterday. It could be days before they go.:(
I can only sympathise - my upstairs neighbours have had builders in for weeks. Amongst other things they had their floor relaid, and now my living room ceiling looks like it's been used for target shooting! The other night I came home from a really long and stressful day at work, to discover about 25 holes in the ceiling, with bits of plaster and plaster dust covering everything in my living room - including the sofa (which I had only just had cleaned), the carpets, computer, everything. I just burst into tears!! And the noise of the banging this morning before I left for work had to be heard to be believed. At least I'm out during the day. And not to mention all the cigarette butts and other !!!!!! they just throw out the window rather than dispose of properly  They won't be finished all their work for at least another 2 or 3 weeks - I'm just trying to stay sane through it all - it's like inhabiting a nightmare and a building site at the same time! They have at least agreed to make good all the damage they've caused when they've finished. They better had as well or I'll set our Tiffster onto them!:D
All I can say is if you want to let off steam about it CCStar I'm more than willing to listen!Hang in there hun xx

Sazbo wrote:I've been on the receiving end of that kind of attitude myself and it is so unhelpful it's not true. It seems that some people either cannot, or will not, acknowledge the root of someone's problems, perhaps because to do so means having to face the fact that there is a problem, if that makes sense. Forgive me if this has been discussed previously on this thread, but do you think relationship counselling might help?
It might do, but he is unlikely to agree to it.
He won't really let me go to conselling alone, so no chance of getting him to go!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

:D Only kidding! I still haven't grown-up (and by that I'm not referring to the fact that I'm only 5ft tall
) - I'm still learning and changing, in fact I hope that never stops!

fg hun - just my opinionbut either he must let you go to counselling on your own, or be prepared to go along with you. It's not right for someone to stand in the way of another person's need to seek help. You are a valid person in your own right after all... Sxx

Hi All,
How are we today? Have just got back from my gym session. Feel a bit tired, but quite pleased with myself that I did it. Am going back again tomorrow, to go through the routine they have devised me again, then I can go whenever I want!!! He said about 3 times a week at the gym would be good to really get benefit from it, with 30 min brisk walks on the days I don't go to the gym.
It wasn't as scary as I thought, so I am really hoping I can stick to this, to make me feel better and lose some weight!
FG - I am sorry honey, it sounds like you are having a really hard time at the minute. I agree with saz, either he lets you go to the counselling on your own, or he comes with you (personally I think it would benefit you to go on your own, as you can be completely honest about things then). Surely he wants you to get better and counselling it a good, positive way of helping.
Hugs to all

Thanks FG, I feel good for having done it. Am dieting as well, so hopefully that will help as well. Determined to be thinner for Christmas, then even thinner for next summer!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Just got an email from OH saying that he's booking tickets for me to go to Finland with him for a few days in november.

Oh FG, men can be pigs sometimes!! Is it for a holiday or something else? Is there a specific reason you don't want to go or do you just not fancy it?Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0

Its for his work, so I'll be on my own most of the time.
I dont really want to go cos its stressful - I've got to plan and execute everything, even telling him where to go at the airport. We had major rows in Germany, and I know thats going to happen again.
Ahh well, at least I get to see the world!
I haven't even got a coat tho, its about 1-2 degrees there - think I'll have to get a coatStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
