He probably has a point about it making me more unhappy. I'm just gonna keep plodding along for a while. I'm working on self improvement, but tackle who I am inside is too big a step. Changing the outside for now, just ordered my GHD hair straighteners, they better be worth it! I've realised that I don't like me at all, and I need to change. It feels like its easier to change the outside, and then work on who I am inside. Maybe then I'll be happier. Its hard to change when I'm with people who know the old me. I'm wanting to run away again :rotfl: :rotfl:

Its worth just making an appointment, round here the wait is about 2 months, so the sooner you get in the better. Easier said than done I know!

The straightners are definitely worth it! :D Probably making changes in small steps rather than too much at once is the wise thing to do anyway. It's about a 2 month wait round here too. So of course I use that as a convenient excuse :) But I'm much nearer actually doing it now than ever in the past. Getting support from you all on here has helped me edge closer to that goal. So a big thanks :T

Back from town - shopping and haircut. Feel good, just wish I could get my hair as good everyday as the hairdressers manage to!
    Hope your all okay

Hi fg - that's great - I bet it gave your spirits a lift! :)
Whether it's before or 10 minutes after the hairdresser's, I always seem to end up feeling like the 'Before' on a hairspray advert!  :rotfl:

Can't wait to get me straighteners, my hair is such a handful. Really difficult to manage as I've got 3x the normal amount of hair on my head - its sooooo thick! But it stil looks lovely, amazing the difference it makes! Don't think I've ever been this pleased with a haircut - she really knew her stuff!

Hi all, sorry I havent popped in for a wee while.. What with the nights drawing in I've been feeling more and more withdrawn. :( I hate this time of the year, I normally suffer with SAD as well as my normal depression..ugh!! Can't wait till Spring..lol

Just looked outside and there is a gorgeous pink sky, what a lovely sunset :)

Have my version of coq-au-vin cooking on hob and veggies all prepared for tonights dinner, so I'm just sitting here going through the net and t.v.

rose, I'm so sorry to hear this. You've mentioned your parents fighting in the past I think. Has that been happening for a long while, or only recently? It can't be good for you, anymore than it is for them. Big hugs, hun. xxx
