...when you estimate and total up the value of your shares, bonds, gold & silver coins, spare change, bank account interest, and foreign currencies every Friday evening...and you actually look forward to it.

Where you use an abacus or a comptometer to do the above, because they don't use electricity.

You eat your heart out because you thought you'd got a bargain on your teabags at Aldi, then discover they are 50p cheaper still at Iceland. :(

When I'm at work if any of the food gets reduced my supervisor heads straight for me and tells me about it so I can put some out the back before everyone else gets it :o He always says 'Claire, you love a bargain don't you....?' :rotfl:

When you get all excited because your mam gives you a big bag of mini toiletries. She always asks for perfume at Christmas and gets the sets with the little bottles of shower gel or body lotion in which she never uses so she passed them all on. I'm excited because I can pop a couple of them in my suitcase when I go on holiday and not have to go out and spend loads on travel-sized toiletries :D

When you're glad your OH is some sort of human hoover because it means you never have any food waste

I also keep the takeaway containers, the one we use the most sends the food in really good plastic tubs, would be a shame to just chuck them out. They're the perfect size for freezing soups and things in too.

When you meal plan by whatever's in the reduced section in the supermarket that evening.

When you get totally excited about something being thrown away by someone you know and ask if you can have it. Even if it's broken, or you have no need for it, or you don't like how it looks, you will eventually find a use for it or fix it or decorate it or cut it up and make something new out of it...

When your rotary washing breaks and while you wait for a bargain you are going to take off the nylon line and string it down the garden to use the proper washing post at the bottom of the garden.

And even though you have raised bed below it you will only put short stuff at that end :rotfl:
