Hahaha, I do that too!! The OH hates going for a walk with me because I sneak a carrier bag in my pocket for foraging sloes, wild damsons, blackberrys etc. Apparently he can't take me anywhere (but he still does!) :rotfl:[STRIKE]Saving for a deposit on a flat[/STRIKE]

Oh I do that too! Also I'm dreaful for hovering around left overs at other people's houses and carting off anything they don't want 'for the chickens'. If its a chicken-based recipe, I cart it back "for the cats".
I have all the bases covered. If it's unwanted, it comes with me. :rotfl:"carpe that diem"0 -

Damn right, only way to be!! Was lucky enough to be given a whole fillet of beef some time back, chopped it into 30 and froze it. Then somehow managed to forage, find or blag all accompaniments, mainly by showing a great interest in FILs veggie patch'oohh, that looks unusual, what does it taste like?' to be replied by 'oh you must try it' :rotfl:

My mum found £20 the other other day and put it in the charity box, bless her heart. I would have put it in my savings account but then she is a better person than me.
bless her!
i take all monies found and put them in a jar, then when there's enough i'll buy some art / craft work i could never otherwise justify and the person who makes it will benefit too (i'll buy it straight from them or through etsy not a gallery to keep them getting the most of the money.)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

You see makeup in Primark, go home and google and youtube it, find out it has good reviews, then wait for it to be reduced as new colours/range is coming in!

You get your Chinese takeaway home, open the carrier bag and think "ooh, they're nice containers - I can reuse those". (Yes, I did it over the weekend. I felt embarrassed as soon as the thought crossed my mind!

I always re-use the takeaway containers!
They are great for freezing left-overs and for batch cooking days.

I always reuse them too - I just can't believe it was the first thing I thought of, rather than 'ooh, the food looks nice'.They are good quality containers, though, and I'm pleased to say the takeaway inside them was pretty good, too.
