I always do that after I have finished cooking sunday lunch.
Made husband stay in the kitchen this morning while cooking so I keep the heating off in the rest of the house and he moaned. And guess what he choose to do go out to the freezing back room to have a tidy up

When the slow cooker, bread maker and washing machine have all been timed to finish early morning to take advantage of economy 7 so the kitchen is nice and warm and you can delay turning on the heating for an hour or two..or not put it on at all if you're going out0

everyone around you is panic buying in the supermarket because of a wee bit of snow, and you are sitting there thinking "hmmm I have enough meat in the freezer, plenty of bread mixes in the cupboard for the bread machine, several frozen homemade meal left overs, a four pinter of milk" and feeling rather smug because if it wasn't for MSE you would be one of those that is panic buying!!!
And know that you can happily stay in for the next month without going out if it wasn't for the dog and cat food!!
