When you read on here about someone being an avid charity shop bargain hunter, and check their location (if given) hoping they are not in direct competition with yourself!
Re. picking up coins - I had a dilemma yesterday, having spotted a 2p piece on the floor in the train just before a woman put her suitcase down on top of it. I was travelling to the end of the route, and deliberating whether to get out last and risk missing my connection (train was running late so only had four minutes to find right platform) or regretfully leave it lying on the floor for someone else to find.
Sad to say sense prevailed, as I didn't want to be hanging around hours for the next train. Maybe I should have told the woman that I had just dropped it and would she mind moving her case so I could retrieve it! :rotfl:I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

when you attend a course run by the NHS for peeps with lung diseases and tell the group leaders, physio and so on about not using lung- and environment-damaging aerosols etc for cleaning but using vinegar, bicarb, lemon, soda crystals, Stardrops etc etc instead...and they ask you to print it off so they can pass it on to others in the same position
then tell them about this site. I feel I'm a proper OS'er now :T

So I am a really super moneysaver as I also do most of this!! Martin, can you upgrade my profile to "fantastically fervent" please!!! A good thread for us is the one about "sneaky ways to save the pennies".. it's about pg 194 now. Also, if you can't cook (whoever it was) (edit was it RubyRuby?) start with soups. You can't easily muck those up!! However I really must stop bagging bargains as we will have to move out soon to store everything!!!.. Great thread, everyone, keep it going!!!0

You mentally calculate how much a day/night out will cost and without skipping a beat make suggestions for a more economical way to have fun!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

You know youre an MSE when...
You save the empty jar of Nescafe and top it up with a cheaper brand as DH claims not to like anything other than Nescafe  Then hide the evidence :rotfl:
No one believes that you spend so little on food shopping, until they come shopping with you....and you end up teaching your 80 year old grandad money saving tips!
You follow DH after he has changed the timer on the boiler...and switch it back to how you had it before!
You can add up shopping without thinking about it, correct to the penny, in your head-and end up doing it even when you don't really mean to-like when its someone else's shopping
Your three year old actually asks to put his spends in the bank, and knows how much he has in his account
You text landlines instead of ringing
Just a few of my little ways0 -
When you are buying a DVD you check prices on virtually every website you can think of and then work out the price with the quidco cash back.
Then curse amazon because they are the cheapest but not on quidco.
If you have a Nectar card ,then go through Nectar to Amazon and get points. Every little helps.:D0
