Thanks will give them a ring Monday morning if still no payment on online banking.

Knowing I am entitled to these (2 so far in my area) payments, is really helping me to fret less about having the heating on round the clock.
yeah these payments do help, more so for people with keymeters, give them a ring on monday and let us know how you get on.;)

I am pretty sure I qualify as I have actually taken the time to read the criteria ;)

    I receive:
    Income support
    and
CTC with a severe disability element
as my son recieves the high rate of care on DLA

I should receive a payment yes?? What is the address to email them please? I would rather do that than call them as I only have a mobile so it would cost me loads to ring them.

Sorry Kay, I was referring to the 'I'm not sure if I'm eligible but when will I receive my payment?' posts. ;)
    Gone ... or have I?
  • I just checked and I should be entitled to 3 payments as should my sister. I've been told by letter about 1 payment (which I have NOT received) but not about the other 2. My sister and I will definately be on the phone on Monday morning.

Does the person on the long term incapacity benefit entitled to cold weather payment (postcode is on the list)? Thank you.
    In a nutshell NO

Kay there are major *uck up's re IS and ctc with a disability premium, you are eligible but when you get them is another story. Myself and a few others are in the same position.

You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment if you get Pension Credit or income-related Employment and Support Allowance with a support or work related activity component in the main phase.

You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family
    ..............

Yes it's a terrible shame that some of us have children who have a disability and are unable to work full time  Would you like to swap?

    Well said.

    On a different tack:
The Met Office have notified the Department for Work and Pensions that 3 periods of very cold weather have occurred in the SN10 postcode area between 1 November 2009 and 8 January 2010, triggering Cold Weather Payments.
If you have qualified for Cold Weather Payments since 1 November 2009 and live in this postcode area, you are due to receive 3 Cold Weather Payments.

Only recieved on of these so far, dated 31/12/09, i'm assuming one will be for this week, and have no idea when the first one was for. Is there a cutoff point in contacting them to chase it up? i mean the first one could have been due the first week of November couldn't it, and who would i call to check?

if basic jsa is the basic money needed to live per week it seems unfair that no help is given unless yhey have children under 5
