Problem with Invoices from Call18866/1899 (merged)

    I received 4 invoices tonight, I also have not used my account for 2-3 years as I get free calls through my Orange Livebox. I cannot login and my number is no longer registered with 18866.
  • I have received an invoice this evening as well - tried to log in but it doesn't work.

    Has anyone managed to get them on their contact phone number 0808 170 1708 ?

    Only 1 email invoice? I've had 4 so far in the last hour. All dated 2nd July 2010 ammounting to just over £80. I havent used the service since 2003

    I've also had an invoice from them for £9.89. I can't log in, though. Just check my bank account and it says the last time connect telecom took any money from me was on the 2nd June. I've not used the service since, and the customer number is different on my bank dd to the one given in the invoice emailed to me tonight.

    EDIT: The one I've got a DD set up for is for 1899.com (same company, as far as I can remember). I haven't used 18866 for over 3.5 years. When I rang 18866's customer number, it said I am registered with them and gives me the customer number that is shown on the invoice. It also says my debit/credit card is no longer valid and asks me to go to their website and update my details. I can't log in, though. Not that I'd give them my dc/cc details now anyway! Very odd.

    I have 15 invoices all dated 02/07/2010 all differing amounts!
    Haven't used the service for years and my credit card has EXPIRED thankfully
    I have spent HOURS trying to find out how to contact them so really wish I had tried this earlier. Now awaiting a response!

    Same here. Receiving invoices.

    It looks like 1899 has also been hacked (same company).

  • I have just received about 10 invoices from 18866 although I haven't used them since 2007. I cannot log into my account and the only way to cancel my account is to log in or call them from one of my registered phones. I no longer have either of the phone numbers.

    There seems to be no way to contact the company and parts of their website do not work.

    also received an invoice from 18866 - havent used them in ages either, cant access the customer area either.

  • I'm sure glad it wasn't just me! Hopefully they will rectify the problem. I've cancelled my account with them and cancelled my direct debit. I haven't used them for ages as I now use VoIPCheap for both my landline and mobile. I certiainly wouldn't use Call18866 or its related companies again after this incident.
