Problem with Invoices from Call18866/1899 (merged)

Hi, I have been with 18866 for years, with no problems until the last few months. When I try to log in to my account to see my itemised bill, a red message says that it does not recognise my log in account details. I have double checked that I am using the right number but have only managed to log in once during the last 3 months. Getting pretty fed up with it as I keep being fobbed off by 18866, so I am starting to look for a new provider. Does anyone know of any?

  • I have just received 3 invoices from Call18866 with the same invoice date for 3 different amounts: £12.75, £35.48 and £56.26.

My Call18866 has been completely unused since the last invoice and when I go on their website the call itemisation for each invoice shows £0.00.

I'm not sure what to do. I've cancelled my direct debit with them but can't find a way to contact them. There is only the PO Box address on the invoices.

    Please help!

I have just received an email with an invoice from 18866, but have not used this number for over a year.

When I log in, I find 3 invoices for 2nd July for £10.03, £5.85 and £8.74, with £0.47 to be invoiced. When I open the itemised calls, they show £0.00 and when opening the numbers say no calls made.

Can anyone find an email for them, so I can advise them of the error, I cannot seem to find one on the web site anywhere.

    Has anyone else had this?

I have just received 8 invoices from Call18866, different amounts, no supporting detail available

i have tended to use 18866/18185/1899 interchangeable depending on which was cheapest, although i know for most calls i have used 18185 and 1899

i have also checked my records/credit card statement and the last charges i received from 18866 were in November 2005, so it may be that these are legitimate amounts that i have not been billed in the intervening period

i too am seeking to work out how to contact 18866, although i have found a route to the customer services problem on the website to send an email

I have just received an email from 1899 alleging that I owe £6.93 and that they are about to make a Direct Debit call for that amount.

Sounds fine - except I don't owe them £6.93 and, in fact, have not used 1899 since July 2008 (£1.00 worth of calls are still un-invoiced but, clearly, that's lower than the sum which triggers an invoice).

Looking back through my records (I keep good records), I see that I joined 1899 on 13 June 2004 and that £6.93 was exactly the amount of 1899's Invoice No.2 - from August 2004 (SIX YEARS AGO).

Logging into my 1899 account, I find that only Invoices 1, 2 and 3 are now showing despite the fact that the last payment I made to them (in 2008) was in settlement of Invoice No.25

It appears they have serious systems problems to say the least!
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    I also received 7 invoices between 19:58 & 20:27 pm today.

They say " This invoice will automatically be debited from your credit/debitcard on or immediately after 02-07-2010"

    I do use 18185 & 1899 but I stopped using 18866 ages ago.

Just hope they do something soon.

I noted in a separate thread on "problems with 1899 Invoice" Heinz had noted he was being billed again for old invoices

I have just checked my records and 6 of the 8 invoices which i have just received are a re-invoicing from 2003-04 where i believe the original invoices had been paid

i am still trying to confirm the position on the oldest two invoices

this would seem to be a problem on both 1899 and 18866

Ah, I'm glad I popped on here.

It seems I am the lucky one as I have only received 1 invoice from 18866!! Although I have not used their service for over 2 years and I am no longer able to log on as my number is not registered on their system any more!

I have gone through their register fault procedure and managed to send them a message through a hard to find online form.

Found on a post by Heinz from January

    "go to http://call18866.co.uk/index2.php

Click on Contact us (in the left hand column)

Click on To report a fault.

Fill in your A/C number and the email address you use for your A/C.

    Fill in the webmail form."

I received an e-mail invoice from them earlier today aswell, for £2.95.

I, too, haven't made any calls using them, in fact I haven't even been a member of call18866 for over 5 years, and when I try to telephone them on the phone number in the e-mail, a message tells me that my telephone number is not registered with them, and disconnects the call.

The invoice even says that payment will be taken on 10-7-2010, and considering that was over two weeks ago, this sounds well dodgy.
