    Purse: £53.75

    Bank account: £87.83

Cap1 CC used as debit: £21.88

November Grocery Spends (budget £100): £9.88 (£90.12 and 20 days remaining)

12 days til OH payday, 15 til mine.

    Expenses left this month:

    1 x meal (around £30-35)
    possible food top up

    Don't forget:

g/e bill £168 approx (will set up on dd once this is paid)
OH credit card bill- around £200 I owe but this is due after payday

Had my wage from 2nd job, £100. Used 3/4 of it towards a small bill I have of £300. Now £225 and aiming to clear before xmas.

Next wage frpm 2nd job (around 10th Dec) should be £335-345- need to plan my finances for rest of calendar year so I can see where this would be best put.

Hoping January's wage will be in excess of £500- had best get working hard this month then to reach that target.

Have printed Mr T voucher for £5 so will use towards milk, cheese, bread, fruit, veg, tomato puree and water. That should keep spends low and should be all I need for this week.

    Purse: £47.18

    Bank: £87.83

    Cap1: £21.88

Grocery Spends Nov: £12.45 (£87.55 left and 20 days to go)

Went to a little Mr T for the top up. Used voucher hence the low spend of £2.57 (was £7.57 before voucher deducted).

    Bought:

    - 2 loaves of reduced wholemeal bread for £0.45 each
    - cheese £2.44
    - reduced houmous £0.29
    - tomato puree £0.50
    - reduced prepped root veg £0.15
    - reduced mushrooms £0.65
    - 5 onions £0.55
    - milk £0.89
    - cream cheese £1.20

Might just need some fruit but will use up what I have first before I buy any more or make a trip to a1di/Mr T when I've got the time.

Used the root veg and roasted it in a mix of spices with some chopped leek. Had with panfried chilli-marinated pork steak. Put a few blobs of the houmous on which actually worked well. Half the root veg (which has been cooked) I'll use tomorrow with the pack of sausages I've got in the fridge. Will make roasted potatoes too and could serve with leeks/broccoli/salad- will see what I fancy.

Also have a big portion of bolognese made up- will heat this up and have it as bolognese or will make into a lasagne and then can bung it in oven on Monday night.

For brekkies- bagels, cereal, yoghurt, porridge, the rest of the fruit.

    For lunches- leftovers/cous cous salads/chicken salads/risotto/pasta

For dinner- cupboard/freezer lottery- got plenty of meat in and all the staple ingredients

I need to get some waters but could pick these up at a1di too.

Forseeable buys- cat food, litter, fruit, veg, milk- a week until these at least.

Enjoying my challenge so far!!! :T:T:T

Up very early- only 6.5 hours sleep- that's not a lot for me. Will potter about for a while and see if I can get back to sleep or see if I end up feeling energetic.

Need to check home insurance policy today. They haven't taken direct debit so I'm presuming the policy has ended/is about to end. If so, i'll get quotes via qu1dc0 for a new policy and see what cashback is about.

The house needs a general tidy up- there are clothes and papers and bits everywhere. Kitchen/bathroom need a wipe down, whole place needs a vacuum, bed needs changing and need to get outfits organised for the week.

Have a lot of work for job to do as well in between all my chores.

Foodwise there's that bolognese to use/turn into lasagne, as well as sausages to use with the rest of the roasted root veg.

Not much else to report here- it's a little cold. Heating on timer for a few hours in morning and a few in evening. Winter quilt and electric blanket still on next month's payday purchase list.

    Should be a NSD today.

After writing that lot and thinking about how much I have to do, I'm feeling sleepy already :o

Ok, couldn't find home insurance paperwork (filing/shredding/organising this is on my loooooong list of things to do) so clever MissShoes decided to check the purchase date on qu1dc0 as it was bought via it. Lo and behold my home insurance expired on 27th October :eek::eek:

I really need a calendar for dates of policy expirations so I can write them in and write in 1 month warnings/reminders.

Ok....hi ho hi ho, it's off to qu1dc0 I go!

    Right,

got home ins policy from b&b for £67.55. Paid in one go. OH transferred £34.55 into my account. The cashback quotes were high even taking in to consideration offsetting the cashback to the cost of the policy.

So my new bank balance is £54.83.

I think when the pet ins is up we will pay an annual sum for that as well if we can, anything to reduce the number of direct debits. We pay tv license in full too.

Have made lasagne for lunch using bolognese. Added a carton of passata to the bolognese to stretch it out. Made bechamel from scratch. Had all ingredients in store so no cost. Managed to use up:

    leftover butter
what was left in a pack of lasagne sheets
a leftover block of mature cheddar
    carton of passata
most of the milk which will go out of date today

Still need to check when my car mot expires so i can budget for that- not sure which payday it comes out from

Ok so nowhere near completing my to do list for today. Have no energy and am surrounded by chaos.

One task I have managed, with the help of OH is to have changed the bedding so at least we will sleep well.

A list is needed so I can feel I have a plan to tackle the mountain.

    Immediate priorities are:

bedding washed and on line before work tomo (this is an ambitious plan) so they can dry and air throughout the day- dependent on weather

washing up- have no surface space in kitchen and no cutlery left

    wash towels and bath mat

clean clothes for the week- sorted for tomorrow at least

wash sofa throws, hang out and air

wash tablecloth, hang out and air

Less of priorities, but must be tackled this week:

bathroom blitz- wipedown, clean showerscreen, hoover, empty bin

spare room blitz- hoover, rubbish down, make up bed

lounge blitz- make sofa with clean throws, wash cushion covers, tidy up, dust and polish/hoover

Long term, must be sorted before xmas:

2 x coats in to dry cleaner

paperwork- shredding, organising, updating spreadsheet, be ruthless and efficient and once up to date, maintain my paperwork system daily

rearrange- move bedding to airing cupboard, organise toiletries, sort all of wardrobe and drawers

organise car- tidy, clean/valet, oil/screenwash/tyre pressure/water etc (get hands free and in car charger too)

flebay- amass a pile to start listing

move shelving unit- needs a bit of adjusting/altering then moving from one room to another

winter preparation- quilt, electric blanket, primarni slipperboots etc

get whole house tidy, organised, clean, sorted out, things throw out/sold, efficently running before xmas

Phew. i feel better for having written it down. Will use this post as my list and cross things off as they are accomplished.
