Ok so update time from me.

    Purse balance: £38.47

    Savings balance: £53.10

    Bank balance: £1.16

Have had to fill up car (£40), buy shopping for the week (£20), out for meal (£15), bring wine to friend's party (£5- used voucher so no cost), bought a present (£15) then wasted monies on lunches (£15).

Spending money like there's no tomorrow!

OH owes me £17 already and now another £13 to top up his bank account. He also isn't paying towards groceries as he's down to his last £20 so he will owe me for his half of these when he gets paid.

My Cap1 pin arrived so my card will be due anyday. I am expecting a limit of £200 so I will use this in full each month then pay off in full.

So my lines of credit to use each month are:

    Cap1- £200
DP storecard- buy one thing a month (will eventually pay in full once it's reset to 0 but still clearing balance)
New L00k storecard- awaiting so see if I''m approved
Luma- awaiting to see if I'm approved
Vanquis- will try to reopen card
FW catalogue- £175- clear in full each month

I realised I need to be showing I can use credit responsibly every month and clear in full and should've worked harder to keep my old accounts open. Anyway, live and learn. If all of the above are successfully opened, I will have 3 cards, 2 storecards and 1 catalogue. The storecards and catalogue will be used for token purchases and cleared in full each month. The cards used for food, fuel, purchases either one card for each if all approved or all one the cap1 card.

OH has applied for Cap1 and they have asked for proof of address which has been sent off. Have also applied for basic joint account- paperwork sent off today.

Feeling like the system is coming together.

Also, and this is the most amazing thing, one of my best friend's may have some work from home work available for me starting mid October, with capacity to earn a decent amount. I am waiting for details and info but this could be an amazing opportunity. Very grateful to friend to outsource this to me as it will be a nice earner and grow their business too. This friend is very savvy, astute and successful so this could be quite a blessing. Fingers crossed.

    Expenses left for this month

Drinks with friends and travel to/from- £35
Groceries for 9/9-16/9- £40 (OH to owe half)
Groceries for 17/9-24/9- £40 (OH to owe half)
    Hair Appt- £50
    Beauty Appt- £75
Family do spends- £100 (OH to pay at least half)
Birthday party- £100 max (OH to pay at least half)

    Total- £440.

For Family do, OH should've been paid by then so he will most likely cover it as he will by then owe me £17+£13+£10+£20+£10= £70- this is for groceries and money lent. SO technically this shouldn't cost me anything. I should also receive £30 towards fuel/parking costs- £10pp so this will cover any spends I have there.

For Birthday party- will need booze and food, will cook and bake to keep costs low.

For hair and beauty- luxury I know but I love it. Will have no cost for these next month.

For drinks with friends- will try to come in under £35

    Targets for remainder of month:

no buying breakfast, lunch, snacks- bring from home
storecupboard dinners topped up with fresh ingredients from supermarket shopping

    Purse balance: £25.48

    Savings balance: £53.10

    Bank balance: £1.16

    16 days til payday.

Drinks with friends came underbudget- doing the sums I'm sure I should've spent more but I think the barman forgot to charge for a drink in a round I bought which makes my figures make more sense.

Just off to supermarket to do small shop for the week, ideally would be able to pay for this all in cash. My savings balance would then cover my hair appt and OH has cash for this week. Then when card arrives, this has to cover all remaining spends until payday. It's 16 days til payday but OH will get paid a few days earlier than me which should relieve things a little.

    15 days til pay day.

Groceries yesterday were £28.40, which had to cover impromptu meal for family. Paid £20 cash and £8.40 on card. Today splurged £3 on a posh drink- whoops!

Missed a couple of bits from shopping list- dry shampoo, cordial, tonic water, garlic puree, chickpea and citrus fruit but did top up herbs that we'd run out of and extra sandwich bits for OH. Have left over cooked bits from meal- will use up in my lunch tomorrow and hide in the bolognese for dinner tomo night.

Currently compiling online shopping order to put through after payday.

    Today I/OH have:

    taken bins out
    finished washing up
    wiped down kitchen
    cleaned out pet bowls
1 load of laundry washed and hung up
    another load on
OH made himself dinner using up bits from fridge
    used up leftovers for lunch
    OH had NSD
    charged phone at work

Will do putting away, hanging up laundry, wash final load (tea towels)

Tomorrow morning if weather looks ok, I'll wash sofa cover again (OH spilled curry on it!) and hang it out to dry throughout day before I go to work.

Have pin number and online registration details for credit card but no actual card- hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow.

    14 days til payday

Didn't get laundry on before work this morning. Had one of those mornings where you can't get up from a really deep sleep. Feeling fuzzy as a result.

The kitchen is still clear except from my breakfast bowl and mug. Will clear this and make a bolognese tonight when I get in, then blitz downstairs. Just a 15 minute tidy up and organise and wash sofa cover. Then will hoover if I have motivation!

Contemplating a late night supermarket shop to Mr M or Mr T. Don't need bread/baked goods but need cheese, sausages, chicken and lamb. Could put this shop off til tomorrow as have all I need for tonight's dinner and lunches tomorrow- it will depend on energy levels or pop to local co-0p instead which I can do on foot.

Hopefully credit card will arrive today too. Paperwork I sent off for joint account and OH card should arrive at bank/card company today too.

Need a coffee to get through today!

I've cooked, OH washed up and I have successfully managed to avoid doing anything else.

No post today so no card arrived. Have sent out some post that I needed to.

Have not done any shopping. Tomorrow I may need to although have enough dinner left over from tonight to last another meal. Need some fruit I think.

Card finally arrived. Surprised, was expecting traditional low limit of £200 ish but got £1k. Didn't get Luma card as this is also run by Cap1 so they refused. But given the limit it's not an issue. Will adjust my spreadsheet accordingly.

Not much else to report, had a couple of NSDs. Down to pennies in bank and purse. Need to activate my card and will use this until payday (I think this will be 22nd- OHs payday) and will pay off the money OH owed me onto it.

Time to be a responsible credit user!
