Loving the lists and the fact the 'overpay' seems to be legit.

Your menu plan is inspiring! I used to have one... need to organise one again if only to get rid of backlog of AF orders past :D. Some of their stuff has been great, like the cous couses, and catering size Loyd Gr0sman sauce (wish they would do those again!) but there have been a couple of things I didn't like and also lots of bread mix that was bought while the bread maker was still functioning. I can make bread by hand but I need to be organised. Hence lots of things that need to be used.

Our spring cleaning is turning into a comedy of errors: DD's third clothes rail in two weeks has just broken, and when I bought us a new lampshade for the landing, we ended up with a couple of wires poking out of the ceiling and no lamp of any description! That's waiting till DH has enough daylight and energy to fix it. I think I will have a vicarious spring clean by gazing admiringly at your list and cheering you on.

Your DD has too many clothes or not enough rails!!!

Well it's all well and good making the lists, but actually completing them is a whole other thing!

My OH has good intentions when it comes to things like flatpack/new curtain rails/DIY but he's not the best! One set of shelves ended up with a brown board for the back facing the front when the shelves were white. And our only curtain rail so far is decidedly wonky- this is not wholly his fault- the walls are rubbish. I may have to add this to my list of jobs.

I hope your light gets sorted xx

ps- yes I think the overpay was calculated correctly- there's not a lot of wiggle room but i've still had lots of treats- sheets, clothes, shoes and enough pennies for a beauty treatment and a couple of nights out.

pps- totally agree about AF- it can be great or you can get stuck with things. Cous couse, sauces, noodles etc and all snacks/drinks/chocs/fajita kits etc are great. I'm stuck with around 10+ sponge puddings (syrup, toffee, choc). as OH has a sweet tooth. He's eaten all the choc but isn't the biggest fan of toffee or syrup so they're not going anywhere. I'm loath to throw them but maybe I should as we bought them in August £5.97 for 24. Will check with OH when he's home

I've never used AF as I've never really the budet to fit it in, however when I've moved and sld some bits on Ebay I might use the paypal funds to do an order. Are they good? No bad bits lol? :o

No bad bits. There are some amazing bargains but they go quickly so I check regularly.

The best I've had have been deals like 8 packs of 6 tortilla wraps for £1- straight into freezer, 10 packs of flavoured cous cous for £2, case of straight to wok noodles 12 packs (2 sachets in each pack) for £2, 12 stirfry sauces for £2, 12 thai curry sauces for £0.01!!!

I do get side tracked by crisps/snacks/chocs/biscuits which is bad as I don't 'need' them but I 'want' them! If you base your purchases around meals, you can bulk buy. There are also handy things like casserole mixes, cottage pie mixes, curry mixes, spag bol mixes etc 6-10 for £1 which is handy if you use them.

They also do a fun thing called a lucky box quite often. It's £1 and the size of a small shoe box. It's filled with random stuff and it's fun to open it. Our last one had minstrels, a pie, a soreen loaf, ryvita, sweets, sauce, nuts, mini cheddars etc in them.

    xx

    So update.

All of my bills have been paid for this month bar £5 charity contribution and £38.44 for a transaction towards the end of the week for items that I ordered but were out of stock- not handy when trying to budget but hopefully the money will be in there.

    £16.70 in bank
    £10.72 arriving from paypa1 tomorrow
£17.51 arriving from paypa1 tomorrow or Thursday
£13.24 refund from 1kea account- should clear tomorrow/Thurs/Fri
£12.49 refund for item being sent back- will take a while

=£70.75 minus expenses of £43.44= £27.31 in bank

In purse= £56.75- this has to cover milk/cheese/fruit and veg/bread top ups for 3 weeks although I have all the meat/fish/staples in.

I did my little top up today at Mr T so we're good for the whole week. I paid £10.90 (used 40p off rice and 35p off bagel vouchers plus d0uble points voucher):

    1kg onions
    1 pack lasagne sheets 500g
    2 packs bagels
    2 limes
    1 bag carrots
    2 broccolis
    big bottle of milk
1 microwave rice sachet to serve with curry (used voucher)

Also posted all my flebay sales out of cash in my purse as well as my beauty treatment. I have a whole pile of items to flebay but there's not a whole lot of cash free for p&p whilst I wait for funds to clear so need to make sure I can manage it before I start listing.

Haven't got very far into my spring cleaning list. Need to get cracking.

Have defrosted chicken, leek, potato and garlic soup and some breadrolls. Will have this for lunch tomorrow and aim to make OH some chicken sandwiches with the other rolls too.

Have made huge cottage pie for dinner. I think this will do for tomorrow as well but if OH takes some to work I'll make a stirfry, curry or fishpie tomorrow instead.

One load of laundry done. Bathroom tidied. Washing up done. Kitchen wiped down and clean.

Next load of laundry going in, then a quick tidy up of bedroom and make bed- easy to keep on top of this once it's done and needs just a daily once-over.

    A happy miscalculation.

My purchase for £38.44 has already been taken out of my bank so just the charity direct debits totalling £5 to go.

In my bank I have £58.26. This is made up of:

£6.09- left over from wages once all bills/purchases etc cleared
£10.70- from paypa1 for flebay sales
£10.72- from paypa1 for flebay sales
£17.51- from paypa1 for flebay sales
£13.24- refund from 1kea account which has been paid off and closed

So once my £5 is taken out I'll have £53.26 to last me the 21 days til payday. Plus the £56.75 in my purse. (I also have a refund due of £12.49 and a friend owes me £15 but not counting on these as could be anytime in next month that I'll get them).

This gives me a total of £110.01 to last 21 days, or £5.24 per day. I also have my £100 in savings untouched which is great.

    So things to do:
    Check online banking DONE
Make OH packed lunch (he has had soup last couple of days which he bought from supermarket and had over 2 days- usually he spends £5+ on lunch so this was an improvement and meant he only bought his daily coffee yesterday) DONE
Make OH brekkie- bagel and tea (can you see I'm feeling saintly today?) DONE
Make bed and air bedroom DONE
Finish laundry (I guess a max of 3 loads until I'm finished)
Put away any dry clothes in wardrobes
Work out what to do with food (OH thinks he's with his family tonight so I have half a cottage pie, a small portion of red chicken thai curry and a large portion of soup ready to go but only me eating) DONE Soup for brekkie, curry for lunch with noodles, cottage pie for dinner and OH can have the final piece when he's hungry later.
    Gym
Buy oil out of today's spends and put in car- check cheap shop
    10 ebay items
10 spring cleaning list items (must include a deep hoover of whole house)
