    Hey,

Just seen your diary. Well done on getting rid of the DP debt. :j

I love DP so when they were about to offer me a card, I just shouted "NO!" in the woman's face, got my stuff and ran out! Luckily, I've not been in that one since (there maybe a photo of me in the staff room saying 'Beware')

Keep up the good work - I'll pop in occasionally to keep an eye out :rotfl:

ha ha ha:rotfl: that is hilarious!!! I should've done something similar! It's ridiculous, the 10% that I saved off my purchase when I opened it was £2.50! Very very glad it's gone. Waiting a few days for payment to clear then I'll call to close account, get confirmation letter and stalk creditexpert.

And the next time someone offers me a storecard I will think of you!

Not that you're counting or anything! ;)

But from what we know of you so far, I don't see why you shouldn't make it. :) Loving your positives, btw.

I'm trying not to countdown and wish the days away but every day I'm a little closer to payday so I can't help it!

    Hence the positives!

    How's your kitchen??

Errr... in need of work, LOL! I cleaned out some cupboards so they look pretty good but until I can get rid of the old cooker (waiting on the insurance still) there will be a messy and unusable corner. :D

    Thanks :)

I have to admit there's work I could be doing... instead of clearing out my emails which has taken ages! The bits I have done so far are encouraging and even I have to admit I'm not going to get a breadmaker in (supposing we could afford it, which time will tell) unless I sort out more cupboards etc. Nothing's going to happen with the insurance till Monday though so I needn't feel guilty for that!

I'm impressed with your menus - I need to make a few plans as I'm getting more adventurous with the gadgets I have to hand. I had to throw out stuff yesterday because I couldn't use it without a 'proper' cooker so the next thing to target is the fridge - see what can be salvaged and what has to go. Wish me luck! :rotfl:

I am with you in wanting a breadmaker- although I think I love the smell of baking bread more than the taste!

Not sure I can justify the cost- or the worktop space!!!

Good luck salvaging the fridge contents!

Feeling very sick and run down today. Good job I have nothing planned.

Been spending this morning. Bought a dress online for my event and Christmas season- we'll see if it fits, I suspect it will need taking in.

So not good at all. I have budgeted from next month for the dress but seized the opportunity to purchase this morning.

So woe is me today. Wish my money saving books would get here soon so I can get reading.

I'm toying with the idea of reducing our grocery budget to £200 a month. I know this sounds a lot and it is doable, so I need to examine receipts/our eating habits and see where I can shave the £60 off.

    Still manically checking creditexpert.

LSD- just popped into Aldi to get bread, rolls, crumpets and sub-rolls, mushrooms and leeks. Cost £4.75. Then popped to Asda for peppers (got 6 red/orange ones for £1.39) and dips. Spend £4.16.

    Onepoll up to £31.30.

Home insurance done- £80 cashback via quidco. Need to keep my eye on that.

Payment hasn't cleared to DP. Will keep checking, then ask to close account.

    No change on creditexpert.

Second order arrived from Approved Food- OH very impressed with £90 of groceries for £31.

Lots of ebay and play.com items due in the post. Luckily OH is off work tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday off work so he'll be here to sign for them.

One parcel waiting at sorting office- will collect on way to work tomorrow morning.

Bedsheets need changing- OH to do tomorrow.

Will make sandwiches/lunch tonight ready for work tomorrow.

Remembered this morning how much I like having time in the morning-
just to sit, have a cuppa, get the little chores done/lined up. Will aim to get up earlier tomorrow so I can go at a leisurely pace.

Funds are looking pitiful. 25 days until payday.

£13.00 in purse, £400 in savings (CAN NOT TOUCH), £13.50 on travelcard and bank balance tbc.

Just fruit and milk needed at end of the week.

    Shoes xx

    24 days til payday.

Tough day at work. People are frustrating.

Retreated into bedroom for some peace, catching up on sky plus.

    NSD for me.

    Another tough day ahead, sigh.
