So it's the day before payday- and I have made it. This is with the extra £200 payment to Vanquis.
Groceries came in on budget (but I also know OH got around £13 worth of groceries on his card).
This month grocerywise will be run a little differently. Still each of us will contribute £130, but we start the month with a MAHOOSIVE online shop meaning the only weekly spends should be fruit, veg, milk, bread, cheese and ham.
The shop is around £190- which means I owe OH £60ish as it's over his share and he's paid for it. When I've got the exact bill, I'll transfer it into his account. Then the remaining £70ish of my share I will take out in cash and use this for the weekly spends. I plan to use only £10 in around a week's time, then £20 a week until 25th November. But you know what they say about the best laid plans.
The idea behind this is the weekly shop should be quick and easy for me to do after work and easier for me to price up online to make sure I can get it under budget. I used to get a lot of fruit and veg from Ald* so I will try to do this again.
So tomorrow morning I have a gas safety certificate appointment at any time, and Mr T delivery around 9-10. Then meal plan and batch cooking. We will eat like kings and everything will run like clockwork.

So I called Vanquis to see how much this residual interest was, ready to pay it off tomorrow when I get paid- the woman I spoke to advised me my account had a zero balance and was closed.
I told her how I'd been informed there would be another £10ish of interest to pay and she said no, it's closed. She's sending me out a letter of confirmation for my records and I need to watch my creditfile ready to see it updated.

D day for the car today, will pick it up tonight. Only one other unknown bill today then I'll know exactly what I'm left with and what it has to cover.
Still outstanding from remaining funds:
o2 bill
orange bill
creditexpert fee
money for travel
petrol
£40 for groceries
TV license
Then I need to save a chunk and I'm hoping to have £200 remaining to clear DP.
Incoming tomorrow:
£110 from OH- his half TV license and car tax
£40 from OH- his half car insurance
£350 from OH- his share of rent and bills
??? from OH- his share of car bill
£30 from OH- his share of stuff for house
So £530 plus car bill stuff. Looking forward to tomorrow- having everything in my account that has to last 28 days and so I shall sit down and relax with a cuppa, pay the final bills and crunch numbers.
If it's not possible to save and pay off DP I will make it happen via ebaying or something!
Will update later with car news

I miss a few days and look how much has gone on! That's great news about Vanquish - must have been such a good feeling!
And well done on making it to pay day within budget! :T:T:T
Our shopping habits have had a spanner thrown in the works this week, or more accurately a cupboard, as that's what fell on the cooker and put it beyond use! We're still waiting to hear from the insurance but I only got all the bits of the claim together a couple of days ago so it's early days really. We quickly got tired of microwave ready meals / soup / baked potatoes! At least they are fairly cheap so we still have plenty of food money.
Have you got you humungous shop yet? Wish we had an Aldi near us, they have some nice stuff.
I will check back later to see what's the news on the car.
P.S. Did you get the hairclips?!Miggy

Well Miggy, the news is in...£500. So £250 each. The difference in the drive is incredible, worth every penny. Of course I'd rather have the £250 to clear Dorothy Perkins definitely this month but it's nice to know it's done.
So the only bills still to settle before next payday (29 days away) are:
credit expert 14.99
overdraft charges 31.95
fill the car up 50.00 ish (have 5p off per litre voucher)
around £30-40 for groceries
Incoming from OH tomorrow:
350- rent and utilities
40- half of car ins
74- half of TV license
36- half of car tax
250- half of car bill
50- half of bedding, draught excluders and extension cables
= £800
So paying off Dorothy Perkins in full and closing the account this month is feasible but will mean another tight month.
I've also realised that a big chunk of my xmas shopping needs to be done from November wages due to me seeing the recipients before xmas and probably not during. So that's the extra £250 from next month already spent! In addition to this I'll need to get two gifts and an outfit. Sigh.
I have given myself £27.50 (in cash in my purse) to live off this month. This just has to cover extras ( a coffee out, lunch, a drink, socialising, treats).
I also have given myself £50 for groceries- fresh fruit and veg from aldi or market, milk and bread, cheese. Easily do-able.
So the daily countdowns begin. It can begin to feel like I'm wishing my life away so I'm determined to start listing positives in my days and looking for the good in things.
positives today
hair done- it's growing finally!
peach bubble bath- smells delicious and the scent lingers- yum
kittens being cute
looking at my manicured hands- ridiculous but makes me happy
ebay buys- teapot and kitchenware- makes me feel domesticated and homely
favourite tv shows on tonight
cheeky starbucks as I was going past and rarely have one- once every couple of months
kisses
yummy dinner from mahoosive stockpile of food

So the dilemma is, do I pay dorothy perkins off in full? According to my sums I can afford it if I don't buy anything else this month. Plus I'll have £500 sitting in savings so if an emergency crops up I should be able survive.
The reason I'm umming and ahhhing is because the payments are due by the 4th. So the payment needs to be sent asap to ensure they clear and the account can be closed/settled.
That means leaving myself with 28 days to survive with
£27.50 in cash
£50 for groceries
£50 for fuel
and £500 in savings which I really don't want to touch.
I just need to bite the bullet, believe I can do it and take each day at a time.
Deep breaths (all encouraging words welcome)- DFD 4th July 2015
