Feeling a bit better today but DD2 has just woken up in a foul mood so am in for it this afternoon. have checked online banking and we are slightly in the overdraft for one account thanks to DH putting the wrond figure down for a bill which had to be paid instead of £60 it was £95 leaving the account £30 short - nice one DH:mad: Our main spending account still in the black and I have £30 cash to last me till wednesday and then £40 to last me till the next wednesday when we get paid! My Tcredits go in on monday but think they will be lower this month as our wages were slightly higher this year than expected! Boo hoo.
Food wise will do some meal planning as usual I have full freezers and bits in so just need fruit and milk throughtthe week really. have done about 10 hours overtime this month and a few more to go! Am getting sick of doing so much work at home now cant wait till I leave!!!

Tax credits tomorrow - will se what they are in the morning when I check online,I will call at P office tomorrow and collect them and ask mum to hold on to them till the next Next bill comes - just incase I give in to temptation lol.
I have £16 in my purse till wedenesday now, have got fruit and milk so this should last. I can then take £40 out on wed which takes us to pay day! DH payslip will come next week then I can work out exactly what we have. I want a few rolls of wallpaper for downstairs but think there is a 20% at homebase soon so will wait till that is on and pop over. DH dad said he will do the wallpaper which is good of him!
I am also keen to get a new dinner set (just a cheap one) and have seen a shoe storage unit for £20 in argos - will have a look out for some vouchers or reductions and see if I can get them a bit cheaper! x

  • Hi pinky

just checking in to say hi, and offer some support. You might get a cheap dinner service from tesco or asda, when they have an online sale. or keep your eyes out on the grabbit board. How long til you finish work? Do you have a definite date? If so, that will help keep you motivated

Hi katie - I have about 13 weeks left about 9 weeks till I tell bully boss to stick his crap job where the sun dont shine lol. In a way I have the power now cos I am only using the job to pay off my debts so I can leave and not have to rush into anything else. However I have a few things in the pipeline so all is not lost. ideally would like 1 day per week or maybe a nightshift to fit in with kids while they are little - I have my plans tho - not saying yet however lol.
I have also worked out my income for tax credits renewal which is next month, my wage will be lots less but I will be working till sept and then have to tell them I leave of any changes. i have been looking at some peoples SOA and some of them seem to get loads more benefits than us on the same wage but we have an extra child - I think I must be missing something. One family on the debt board are earning £1000 per month with 2 kids and are getting £1000 in benefits thats more than we get with 3 little ones -:mad::mad:.
Anyway have found some more things for ebay - so in the easter hols going to have a massive listing day and get kids to help. I aim to make £100 towards some money I owe my mum. So will be pleased if I make this.:)

Havent posted lately naughty pinky lol
have been so busy painting and getting the house done up it is really taking shape and yes all on a budget:D
I am keeping my eye out for any argos vouchers as I have seen a unit I want for upstairs.
Am going to homebase on fri for some wall paper as it is the 15% day so that will help a little! I am waiting for DH payslip so we can work out bills for the month. I also need home insurnace so tonight we are going to get some quotes and see what cashback is avaible. We have around £140 cashback we are still waiting for and it is taking forever!!!!!!
Have £200 to pay off my next bill which will take it too £130 so will pay that next weekend when I can get to the bank!

Pleased to say budget is still going well. I have had to jiggle things about a bit and I lent myself some of my own money lol - but will put it back when pay has gone in. By doing this I saved 15% on my wallpaper and the carpet I budgetted £120 for came in at £60 including underlay just £25 to pay to fitter on day. The savings I made on my wallpaper also paid for the bath rug so really that was free! Also we had £250 set aside for tiles and they came in at £170 so used the extra money to order a new dinner set and some other bits from argos! Still not sure about DH pay - slip may come today? then I can actually work out what can come off what. We have started making a list of what needs to come out next month and home insurance is also due so need to start shopping around for this and get a good deal if I can get it with cashback for £200 I will be really pleased. I am also going to try and put a bit away for oil each month so if we need some we arent caught short. DH made lots of overtime this month but we will be taxed to hell on it no doubt - thats the only drawback!
Anyway feeling like we are getting somewhere and v positive!! Oh and I listed 6 items on ebay last night and will start sorting and photographing some more to put on through the week! I hope to eventually make £160 then I can pay my mum back the money I owe her! Hope everyone is well and enjoying the morning sun!:)
