  • Good to see you are being optomistic and keeping at it pinky. Once you have all your debts paid off, you will have so much cash, you wont know what to do with it (:rotfl:)

:rotfl:Ha ha I wish KatieC - once this ccard is paid off I need to tackle the northern rock loan. We are managing this ok at the mo and the interest is low but would still like to pay off sooner.
Have had a sort out today a few bits to list on ebay (may get motivated tonight??) I also have a few bits for the charity shop.
Its DH birthday soon so may use some of my tax credit to put some cash in a card for him. He is a fab DH and likes me goes without to pay bills etc so hoping a little bit of cash along with family cash given will get him a few nice bits. Have planned a day shopping and lunch out on his BD and have babysitters for the kids so should be nice and relaxing.
Not an awful lot on DF front have £15 to last till next fri so will see how that one pans out lol. We have managed however to survive on £260 this month including diesal and food so am happy with this.
Sealed tin is getting heavy and will be a nice boost for the summer holidays. Will get another one for Christmas then!:)
    Hope everyone is well!!!

Wont quite manage a NSD today - but after cakes and sausage rolls bought a scratch card on way home (had a dream the other night that I won - so thought I would try my luck) I won £6 which paid for our lunch and left us £1 up yey! I need to pop out later and get a pizza for tea for me and DH later on.
Have got loads done today, washing on, washing hung out, dishwasher emptied and reloaded. Tidied around. This PM going to take some pics for ebay and try and do some listing tonight. I also had 2 mornings off work so will try and make one of the days hours back working tonight.
Should have a decent budget march. We are still living on the same money as we will when I leave work so it is not too much of a shock but last month were so skint we lived off £100 less which was fab! So March money should be £400 - out of this is food and diesal and general spending money.
Out of DH overtime we need to pay for DH - mum Bd Pressies, Tiles for new bathroom, Car Tax and extra towards the car insurance. Any over will have to go towards insurance excess for the bump boo hoo - am hoping mum will lend us the rest. So unfortunately wont be paying as much as I hoped off credit card which I feel really disappointed with. :(
Going to run through figures with DH tonight so he knows where the money is - I like to keep him involved also!

Well not much to report today only spent £2 on milk and have £10 stashed for a take away tonight.
Have seen a sofa I really love but resisted the urge to buy. So me and DH are going to sit down and work out if we can afford it maybe in a month or two - fingers crossed.
Have quite a lot to buy/pay for this month so am hoping the overtime covers it the tiles werent as cheap as we thought and are £250 so need to find the money for this, £100 towards van excess, £60 road tax, £40 bd pressies, thats £400 so far so possibly all overtime am doubtful there will be anything left so for the ccard this month payments will stand at only DD£110 plus TC £60 total of £170 boo hoo. Have made some of my hours up though so will top this up to a straight £200. At least the total is coming down. Should be around £3700 ish. So hoping DH gets some overtime in for now. I have also seen a couple of nightshift jobs so might think about doing one on a weekend to help get the debt down - will have a think anyway.
I have been very very naughty and still havent listed anything on ebay am finding it hard to get motivated and have soooo much to do at the moment. never mind will get there I am sure:D

  • Can you manage with old furniture for now? Or have you tried freecycle? You might get some stuff that someone just wants to get rid off?

    Hah Wild - I wish Katie -
Had a low spend day today £1 on sweeties - unfortunately all selection boxes from xmas have been eaten lol. Had lunch at SIL which was lovely and she had been baking and ave us some to take home - about enough for 3 days packed lunches and tea tonight - shes a star!!
Have been looking in freezer for meal plans for week so far
Monday - Baked pots, cheese & beans
    Tuesday - Sausage & Chips
Wednesday - Stew & Veg (slow cooker)
    Thursday - Spag Bol
    Friday - burgers in buns,
I have nearly everything I need for this week so just milk and fruit as and when. My kids eat bananas like theres no tomorrow. I need to find someone who is going to Asda as I really need some little boxes of raisins and dont want to go and be tempted by other stuff - which is precisely what got us into this mess into the first place!!
Have sat down with DH and gone through out monthly budget - we will only manager a payment of £220 off ccard this month, but we have an old car with £80 on it so this will be paid off and we will close this account down then. We are also paying £160 off Next bill so will update on this figure when the next bill comes in. I need to make another £20 on Ebay then I can withdraw £50 and pay this off the Next card.
I have stopped looking on the grabbit board as I keep buying sale stuff from Next as the offers page i updated. Bad bad Pinky. The kids have loads and I have just bought them all new wellies, trainers and a few bits and bobs so they should be good for a while. I also managed to get 2 of them new school coats for sept at half price so that should save some money.
It's DH bd next week so going to have a day out (just spending his bd money lol!) so going to see if I can finding one of the eating out vouchers to save us some cash.
Next month we should have a cracking wage due to weekend and overtime work so that should really help in reducing the debt.:)
Back to work tomorrow boohoo but we have lots of snow so will have to see. Have made up 4 hours so will only lose 2 hours this week. Feeling positive again at the mo. Not long till out minging bathroom is done cant wait!!!!
