Hi all, thanks for all your comments regarding the weight loss :) I was hoping to do better but as you say at least it's going in the right direction!

I went to the army vs navy rugby match at Twickenham yesterday so naturally there was a lot of boozing and a couple of greasy burgers to be had! Was an awesome day but will def have put that pound back on again now! :rotfl:

Came back home to a nasty surprise though. Had a letter from CapQuest saying they have taken on a debt from Natwest for £1130.01! Took me a while to figure it out what it was but have realised its an overdraft I very cleverly forgot about from my Uni days. Panicking now because I have enough debt as it is and I there is no way I can afford that amount of money!! :(

 Haven't Natwest sent any statements to you or anything? It's a bit naughty *wants to use stronger word* of them if they haven't?

The army v navy rugby sounds good :D spesh the greasy burgers

Try not to worry about the the CapQuest KP. Just write to them and tell them how much you can afford each month (even if it's only a fiver) and set up a d/d for that. Don't talk to them on the phone, keep a copy of everything you send and do what you say you will and there's not a lot they can do.

Wow, wish I'd seen that rugby match :D Sounds fab!

By the way, when you go to the gym, do you also find there's groups of guys hudling round certain weghts as though they can't work them on their own. And invariably there's an alpha-male who thinks he's the bees knees! They were doing my head in at the gym today!

    Hi All,

Well on the advice of DarkConvict I have sent a 'prove it' letter to CapQuest asking for the evidence that I owe this money. I'm sure that they will come back with stuff about my overdraft but at least this gives me the chance to have a look through and figure out where I can get some money from to pay this back.

Haha nicca, yes there is always that group of 'big strong men' down one end of the gym! But I prefer to keep my eye on the personal trainers that work there - much nicer to look at! :D

Haha, I was doing that too! There was a very cute guy looking all lost yesterday and I was about to ask him if he needed help, when I realised he actually worked there! Not seen him before but I might redouble my gym efforts! And how glad was I that I didn't act a bumbling fool in front of him! (Let's gloss over the fact that I couldn't get the first three treadmills I tried to work. Maybe he never noticed. :rotfl:)

I think I'd do whatever Dark Convict advised too! He seems to know his stuff. Good luck, I hope it goes in your favour! :)

Hi I am new to the board and and am posting out of complete desperation with Capquest who are chasing me for an outstanding water bill from 2009 for a property that I moved out of and sold in 2007 ! I have phoned and emailed them but they say my solicitor needs to write to them ( well the cost of a solicitors letter would exceed the £130 debt ) to say that I moved out in 2007. Today I had a letter from them saying they would send doorstep agents round to me - I am really upset as I do not even owe them the money - you say you sent a 'prove it' letter to them - what should that include ? They are really upsetting me !

    Best wishes Cazza

    Hi Cazza

Welcome to MSE. There'll be plenty of people who can help. I'd suggest you copy and past your post here into a new thread as you are currently in KP's diary. Not as many people read the diaries as read the main forum. To do this hit the "forum tools" on the debt-free-wannabe board (not the debt-free diaries - I know, confusing, isn't it!) and then got to "new post" (or it might be "new thread", I forget, the first one anyway).

And ask the same question there - put the question in the title too so folks know what you are asking and you'll get more responses. I'd also recommend checking the "unenforceability" thread (usually on the first page) as it has lots of templates. Also Never-In-Doubt will be able to help you out if you get stuck.

Good luck. And let us know if you need more help. x
