Morning. Feeling a tad better today so thanks for all your good wishes. We have closed schools - DD and DS were soooooooo pleased!!
DH also home because of snow though he is working. I'm going to walk to our local tkmaxx and m and s to get presents for DS as I don't want to go out once this snow freezes. I know it's not the wisest thing to do but I'll go back to bed when I get in and then I can stop stressing about him not having any presents!
Hugs to everyone in need of them xxxxxx0 -
Greenbee I'll be going to my local independant computer shop, I like to give them my business plus they're just the best! I'm sure he'll sort me out, I'll be sure to give you a shout though if I get stuck, Thanks x
Landing cupboard done. Lots of things to relocate/rehome . Lots of it should live in the first aid kit (not so happy about that, it lives above the boiler behind lots of junk, so will be a hassle to unearth).0 -

Bit late but please may I join in. This year is going to see lots of changes in my household with my OH working away lots so I need to get organised - finally.
So if I understand this right - I copy and paste the list into my post - and update it with 'DONE' when it is? Ooh I'm feeling all motivated and wondering if I can fit two days' worth into one (or more likely most of last years' worth into one day in some areas!).LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Tidy a chest of drawers/wardrobe.. is there anything past its best that can go live elsewhere?
Clear and tidy the top of a wardrobe/COD and replace only what is necessary.. surely you don't need it all!?
Wash curtains/blinds that are in need.
Oh eck, better pull my finger out! In my defence for yesterday, I spent it refereeing the kids! They'd reached the point where they couldn't stand the sight of each other! Anyway, both decluttered off to school. Just decluttering a cuppa then will shake a leg and get moving!
Need to make flapjacks, carrot soup, roasties to freeze as well as a batch of sandwiches to freeze!
This thread is moving at the speed of light, can't keep up with you all!!
Welcome all newbies, you'll love it here :j
Hugs are fresh from the oven so still cosy and warm for you to grab before you head into the snow and ice brrrrrr
Love to all, esp Toots and Lady-L :A:A

They are offering ceremony, buffet, room and wine for 100, MC, Disco and overnight stay for £999 .. that sounds a bit steep to me but as you are saving elsewhere it might not be too bad
So, thats most of the hard work out of the way surely? We are trawling round them this weekend and next, and will book whichever one takes our fancy...I need plenty of Good luck-the-dates-free vibes gals! Mum and family are over from about the 6th -21st july, so best weekend would be sat17th however if we have to it will be done midweek, i've no problem with that.
Mine was a Friday as it meant people had that day and the weekend so could get drunk..I also got marrieed at 3pm so skipped the evening do.. I was 7.5 months pregnant and needed to be in bed by 10pm
Flowers my best mates(also maid of honour) mum is a florist and has agreed to do them. Im pretty sure it will be at a knock down price, or i could ask as a wedding pressi:p
Cake again i have a friend who makes stunning cakes, as anyone who is on my facebook will know from Amelia;s birthday cake so i shall call her tomorrow and call in a favour!
Photographer my uncle and a family friend are both keen and excelent photographers so another favour there!
Bonus!!
This bit sucks! I have SEVEN:eek: bridesmaids and cant get out of any.....although i wouldnt have it any other way! Im keeping fingers crossed mum will buy/hire sistersX2 and bros suit...older sister and mate will get their own and we get jaimee millys and lous.
TBH I'd just have your own girls... you are not obliged to have anyone.. that would cut some costs.
Jase has just informed me his aunty is a dress maker...how did i not know that?! Might pose a problem with three breidesmaids in australia tho
If anyone has anything they think might be any use let me knows:o
Another reason not to have anyone else other than your own girls!
Thanks for all your wishes for yesterday, and over the weekend.....I had a great time with my DD who was perfectly fine all weekend:D funny that:rolleyes:
And I mananged not to kill DS when we met up for lunch:p
BIG SHOCK THOUGH........he paid for it:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::A:A:A:A
Spent all day yesterday waiting around for trains though:mad: I was out of the house for 12 whole !!!!!!!g hours in the freezing cold:o:eek:
See.. DS had missed you.. Does DD want to come stay with you again now she has realised it isn't all bad?gunsandbanjos wrote: »
Congratulations to you too Zoe, i organised my wedding in about 4 months. We got married on a wednesday though as it was easier to book stuff midweek on short notice. Only slight headache was the dress, as it wasnt an off the peg type dress and was specially made and fitted i was a little limited in my choice. I did get the one i wanted though.
I had a fairly standard hideous wedding dress.. but being 5ft 2.5 meant it needed shortening a lot.. and being 7.5 months pregnant and immense meant it needed a lot of work.. the shop were fabulous and got it all sorted so I could pick it up the day before the wedding.
