Do you have to go.............. check out the weather forecast as its terrible and heavy snow is due in - if you have to go make sure you take blankets, hot flask, mobile phone [fully charged] shovel etc - please be very careful

    Helen

Thank you - yes, I have to go - all 290 miles of it (each way!)

Will take on board your suggestions, plus hiking gear in case I have to walk out.

And the full tank of petrol too.

Now just need to get off the computer and do the decluttering of my bedroom floor before I leave! Just feeling sooooo lazy somehow.

I need to do this...and I expect the same number of bags that you've got rid of! How old is your little one? My DD is 5 and going back to school tomorrow....her room has so much in it now that we can't shut the door. I find it easier to clean/tidy when she's not here as she's a bit of a hoarder, and it only leads to a row....You wouldn't believe I tidied it before Christmas....

She's 10 this month. We were pretty ruthless, but oh so worth it, Good Luck.

snowing here since about 6.30am - it's settled but DD2 has still gone in to school - NOT happy about it though.

DD1 expecting visitors this morning - can't see it somehow - don't think girl concerned is allowed to drive in the snow - real pity, cos these were people who had supported DD all through her illness......

My school is back at work today - guess I won't be cycling there as there's too much snow!

    Stay warm everyone!

Forgot to say congrats to ZLJ - don't stress about it honey, just arrange what you like and enjoy the day!

Everyone be careful out there! The snow is dreadful here, I am delaying my journey until later on today to see if the roads clear

Dresses my friend got some off of ebay and paid as little as 7.00 each for them. Added a sash and they looked lovely.
My SIL did this too - lovely dresses for the little ones, and then satin ballet shoes on their feet.

I should have got up earlier  but it was cold. If you buy a router from PC world, they usually let you try it and take it back if it isn't what you need (I've used this in the past for checking lines where people have only been given broadband modems). If you have any problems setting it up, shout (or go over to the techie board - they're very helpful).

Didn't sleep well (bedroom was too clean :p:p). Actually, I think I need to get out a bedcover/blanket and maybe increase the hot water bottle count!

Anyway, so far this morning all I've done it make a batch of muesli (why do all the bits sink to the bottom in mine, whereas they are evenly distributed in the commercial stuff ). So need to remember what my plan was (I have a horrible feeling it was floors an ironing :o, shower, dress (in lots and lots of layers) and get on with it...

    Morning all

First day back at school and it's closed! Kids are pleased though, we were just getting togged up to leave when I got the text from parent mail. Thought they were being wimps closing but seeing what is coming down just now and what is up there in the sky, it might have been the right decision.

Either way Miss A and W are happy. I was hoping to take the tree down whilst they were at school but now they will have to help me :D

ZLJ my sister made her own crystal bouquet and also the rest of the flowers, button holes etc were crystal, a nice alternative and can be tailored to any colour scheme.
