Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
    Level One
    [STRIKE]
Strip wash and replace the bedding!
[/STRIKE]Declutter the floor.. laundry gone, shoes gone.. etc

Morning. Snow here in Sunny Devon. Main aim this morning is to get to work, since car won't start and RAC massively overloaded, 2 hr wait and 40 min just to get through on the 'phone.

eta still no sign of RAC.

Butternut squash curry doesn't really have a recipe, but...

put clove of garlic and a bit of all spices you fancy in a whizzer with some olive oil

cumin, coriander, coriander seed, mustard seed, fennel seed, turmeric, fenugreek, cinnamon, ginger, chilli flakes et.c

fry an onion in this, add butternut squash and any other veg/quorn/meat/lentils whatever. Fry some more. Add a tin chopped tomatoes and enough water to cover it, simmer 'til veg tender.

I guess the meat should be cooked before you add it, but am vegetarian, so don't worry about cooking meat!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Hope your DH is OK Helen

I'm clean, polished and dressed. Finished up one body lotion and one rosehip oil too, so that's some grotty stuff out of the bathroom. Teeth have been thoroughly scrubbed (I slacked off on the interdental brushes towards the end of the year, and I can tell ). So off to clear and hoover the upstairs floors (which means sorting out the cupboard on the landing and dealing with the stuff that's been congregating in the spare room doorway for the last week - I've been stepping over it :o)

    Morning all

Those of you with snow and heading outtake care. Snow not forcast here until overnight so off out this morning to stock up on food, coal, cash etc!

Zoe - congratulations, you have loads of time if you start planning now, we planned ours in 4 months as I found it less stressful than 18 months of planning.

Jinky glad you had a good time and that you are home now

Diva happy Tris is a wee bit better

Helen - hope your DH is ok

Quick tidy round, write a list as I'm a sieve head, and off I go.

Mince & onions in the SC will add dumplings tonight, should have prepped the veg but decided to clean mine and littleys windows instead, and yuk! they sooooo needed it :o would have done teenies too but he's still zedding it.

We've had snow/ice now since the 17 December  only the 30th was clear then it started again, apparently the cold front is from Siberia and it just overpowers the warm front coming from the west hence the snow and not rain *grumbles* anyway car currently defrosting with engine running (saves my hands).

Greenbee I'll be going to my local independant computer shop, I like to give them my business plus they're just the best! I'm sure he'll sort me out, I'll be sure to give you a shout though if I get stuck, Thanks x

Offskis to work now, toodle pip :hello: x
  • ZLJ - congratulations honey!! We (I mean I!) arranged it in 7 weeks, but ours was a very small do as that's what we wanted. We are all here to help
HelenJ - hope DH gets sorted quickly. Higs and pain free vibes winging your way x

More blasted snow here, around 5 inches. Had to walk up the mammoth hill to work again, talk about out of breath and sweaty by the time I got here! Penguin83 - don't come anywhere near here! After all I said to you yesterday the weather people have lied to me again!

Thanks for the list! Christmas Tree has been evicted this morning and I've spent the last 10 minutes peeling stickers off living room window, very fiddly job and I caught one under my nail which bled rather a lot :(
Still got the other window to do (will buy vinyl ones next year).

Leaving wardrobe fun until after baby. Went through it all a few months ago and now need to see what size I am before clothes can be sorted.
Wash curtains/blinds that are in need. Actually they have gone mouldy again  so I suppose I should... we don't want baby breathing in too many mould spores
