Haven't attempted to keep up with the thread today - hope all is well. DS staying for a few days - he and I have been experimenting with the cooking - a German dish (basically homemade stuffed ravioli) for lunch, and then we used up the remaining stuffing in some parma wrapped chicken for supper. And I still did some housework:T

Managed to do most of my list - just need to deweb (forgot to do it!), and to do the blind at the weekend.....it involves climbing and balancing, so would rather not do it today :o

So, no star for me to claim just yet, but I will be aiming to have at least a couple by the end of the week!

Not had chance to catch up, but hope everyone is ok x

    Evening

Got in about three quarters of an hour ago after ............

Taking DD1 to work for her disciplinary! Two flippin hours it took then to decided whether or not to sack her! I was frozen! Anyway long story short she has a final written warning, which is really in effect her first ever warning but.............it was serious and to be honest I'm quite happy with the outcome. Lesson learnt on her part as well I think.

During all this I thought Mr Tag was collecting Miss Tag from school. Clear case of crossed wires. The school phoned him 45 mins after they had finished to ask if anyone was collecting her? He went  and picked her up!
Then the school phoned his house at 5.30 to see if I had appeared.:o Nice to know that someone actually does care about me:rotfl:I must apologeise to them in the morning though!:o:o:o:o:o

Then I ended up dropping DD1 back home to her Dad's, then back to get Miss Tag, then home here and well it's all very complicated and I haven't really stopped...................:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So what started off as an organised day it eventually turned into total chaos!

Oh I thought the farmer had hung 2 cows in the apple tree as well. I was trying to work out how the hell he got them up there.:o:rotfl::rotfl:Til I realised I'd misread!

Off to put Miss Tag to bed and then I might look for my list and do my 5 things on Ebay!

    Hi everyone
Boyf came home and decided we were going out for dinner, so went down to the pub and had lovely unhealthy food. It's Dad's birthday tomorrow, so I am prepared for an awful day. I've decided I'm going to buy some flowers as a little sort of ceremony for myself. Need to go to town anyway to buy a map.

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level Two

    Clean the hob and oven

    Tomorrow
Buy flowers, map, food, tweezers (left my good ones in ireland grrr)
    Post 2 packages
Print walking directions for Wednesday (we're going to Edale if it isn't snowy)
    Send CR emails

oooh whilst I think on, I want to croquet a blanket or two for the baby's moses basket, I've seen measurements of moses baskets matresses so shall I make them 4 inch bigger all round than the said matress? It's been a long time since I last made one. Like croqueting far better than knitting (such as cardies etc) as you see the results quicker!! Moi - impatient - not a chance!

Oooh and anyone with outdoor pets, please check their water bottles regularly, our rabbits water bottle has frozen again and it was alright 3 hours ago

Hugs carol - coping vibes as well x

oh btw: took me 5 hrs yesterday and 7 bags of junk (2 of which were wheelie bin sized) cleared out of her room, haven't even cleaned it yet  but oh it looks sooooooooooo good, and feels good knowing everything is gone and empty-ish, only xmas stuff and a few precious things left....and clothes

I need to do this...and I expect the same number of bags that you've got rid of! How old is your little one? My DD is 5 and going back to school tomorrow....her room has so much in it now that we can't shut the door. I find it easier to clean/tidy when she's not here as she's a bit of a hoarder, and it only leads to a row....You wouldn't believe I tidied it before Christmas....

Have been reasonably busy today, plus OH and I had a row over an invoice that we need to submit....honestly, it was the straw that broke the camel's back....Bloomin' invoice is done (and has been for 2 days, so could have been submitted earlier), so I don't know what the problem is...all he needs to do is email it and follow up with a paper copy...

Anyway.....few deep breaths and I'll be OK.....I did manage the following, though:

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Declutter and wipe those worksurfaces
Sweep and mop the floor[/STRIKE] Had to mop the floor as the WM had a 'moment'. Think the drain was frozen....dishwasher soon sorted that out.
    Level Two
[STRIKE]clean blinds/curtains[/STRIKE] Gave them a dust. Their days are numbered. Horrible things....
Clean the hob and oven Not this week....still clean from last week. Hob was wiped over though.
Clean out the fridge.. Not a chance....!
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Clean and wipe the table, replace the cloth if necessary[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean out the under sink cupboard.. new year, new cleaning products![/STRIKE] I relocated my cleaning cupboard about 2 weeks ago due to DS learning to crawl. Cupboard still clean from then.
    Dust and deweb
[STRIKE]Wipe over the units and large appliances[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    1. wash windows
    2. [STRIKE]Declutter the tops of the wall units[/STRIKE] Is much tidier, but still several Christmas things up there.
    3. Sort recipe books/files
    4. [STRIKE]Wipe over all the small appliances[/STRIKE]
I also made a makeshift cosytoes thing to go on the pushchair for tomorrow. Nothing great, but will do the job (DS has a habit of kicking his blankets off and then losing his socks.), just off to put out the recycling, and will pick up the rest of the [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] treasured possessions from the living room, while waiting for the Tesco order to arrive.

Think that's it for now...have a good evening
    Take care
    D
