Really, really tired today. Like soappie, I didn't sleep very well, and I was the only one in the house awake when I went out at 7.40 to chip the car out of a block of ice! Today went more smoothly than we expected, the kids were probably too cold to plot mayhem.

I've caught up on the thread, and will be flying tomorrow.

The teens have taken down the Christmas cards, baked a chocolate cake, done the washing up and DS1 cooked dinner. Did I say I love my teens???:D Rumour has it that some revision has also taken place...

:bdaycake:Happy birthday to quillion, and lil_me's DS.

:hello:Hi and welcome to all the new flyladies!!

No babe, quite serious... then you now where you are starting at the befinning of the year.. and our one week new year wonders will have a nice tidy clean cupboard
KH is K-Nob Head [I think]

    Helen

It sure is... No Penny.. you were WAAAAAAAAAAAAY out lol

Carlsberg.. sounds like a plan. I'd be telling DD2 to grow up.. everyone else is moving house, XH is BUYING a new house just so she can have a bigger room with you like she wants.. everyone is dancing to her tune and she needs to be aware of that! When I got pregnant (slightly younger than DD2) I was sharing a room 6ft x 9ft with DS1 until he was 18 months and I had saved enough money with KH to buy our own house. My mother didn't speak to me for the entire pregnancy I had to struggle to buy everything myself.. she is very very lucky to have the support she does have! Oh, DS1's gf was thrown out at 4 weeks pregnant and was in foster care until Jacob was 6 months old because her family didn't want her! Her dad hung himself when Jacob was 3 weeks old.

Hugs Carol - why not take a quiet moment out in the evening and light a candle for your Dad...

Pen Pen - this is the KH definition posted by me a few days ago:

As I recall there was then a discussion about whether it should be NH rather than KH and I pointed people in the direction of the Urban Dictionery to look them both up and realise that maybe KH was the correct acronym :D

Have decluttered the first couple of chapters of Greenbee's book through my eyes and into my brain. I have a mish mash of leftovers from last night's roast dinner heating up in the oven and I'm really tired. I shall be having an early night

DH is gutting, disinfecting, cleaning the bathroom after last nights episodes. He's gone out and got serious disinfectant to try and stop this bug spreading. We both know it's shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted but it makes us feel a bit better! Can't wait for the bathroom list to come up - can I have a star :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

A friend of mine who is a Nurse suggested using Milton Sterilising Fluid on everything you touch (never mind vomit over *g*) when I had it. Hopefully stops you re-infecting yourself too. Don't forget door handles, kettle handle etc. Also replace your toothbrushes when you are well - according to her you can reinfect any tummy upset easily with toothbrushes.
Do hope you feel better soon - it's a horrid illness.

Decorations are boxed up and labelled and in garage. Christmas tree is in the box and taped up.....just need to take it out. I took out the first box and took the recycling out to the bin and in the process, the dog ripped apart a bin bag in the house to get at some chicken bones which he isnt allowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the process he spilt double cream all over the kitchen floor and the chicken bones are long gone!!! Kitchen floor is cleaned up on my hands and knees are the rubbish is all re-bagged to go to the tip.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: And then, I edited my last post instead of quoting it, so here it is again..... In the right place!!!!!!!

Well I have done nothing from the list so far today.

Day has gone like this so far:

    Get up
    Make Twinks
    Empty airing cupboard
    Sort kids out
    Sort plumber out
    Go to work
    Pick kids up
    Make tea
    Eat tea
    Take kids to Beavers
    Go to Mr Ts
    Pick kids up
    Feed Gemma
    Declutter kids to bed
    Catch up on thread

But on a brighter note - I HAVE HEATING!

I suppose I ought to go and do something in the kitchen before I go to bed. I have dishes everywhere!

TAG - that was a lucky escape by DD then

Yes Dusty it was. She'd been suspended just before Christmas and has spent all that time worrying and convinced that she'd get the sack. I had said to her that I thought the best outcome she could hope for was a final written warning but to expect the worst.

She made a stupid mistake and didn't take the right action to correct it. So really they have given her the benefit of any doubt. Plus she's never been in trouble before. As I said I'm pleased with the decision and I think it was fair given the circumstances. It was a big, big lesson and kick up the backside for her though which I think she needed in all honesty.

Fingers crossed she can move onwards and upwards now. 2009 was not kind to her so New Year, second chance and if she could just get her head straight with regards to her BF ( I shall say no more than she could and really should do much better, but I know nothing you understand:rolleyes:) then maybe she'll start to blossom. I hope so.

    Right list and then Ebay..........
  • Piggers -great minds think alike then!!! Gawd I hate all this "she's getting this so I want this" malarkay, I've always tried to stop it but it's XH's way of shutting them all up! Will have to think up a cunning plan where everyone thinks they are getting EXACTLY what they want! Yours and Ds's GF story (wrong word I know but can't think of another one) is soo sad, but has/will make you/her stronger people in the end too.

I just want everything nicey nicey cos that's they way I am! But everything that's thrown at me I have dealt with rightly or wrongly depending on who is looking at the time, you learn by your mistakes as well don't you?
