    Quick visit to update my list - managed to get a fair bit done of it. Popped up the shop and managed to pick up various meats at reduced prices so have got a menu planner (in head) for the rest of the week:D Spent 2 hours in bedroom emptying KH's wardrobe and drawers and depositing them in 2 suitcases - DD came in and *wondered* why I was folding them and not just throwing them in :rotfl::rotfl:

    Easy answer.. if it is neatly folded you can fit more in!

    Had our curry for tea and may I say it was delicious! Washed up dishes, kids in PJs having their milk.

    Poor Pip (the dog) isn't well - she's been shivery today, off her food and was sick in the lounge this afternoon (just after I vacuumed the lounge floor, bless her). I thought best give her plain scrambled egg but called the vet to check out as she has IBS, he said yes but if she's sick again they'll need to see her. She's now snuggled in the blanket I made whilst pg with DS dozing in her bed and I hope she feels better tomorrow. She ate half her egg but left the rest; unusual as she normally inhales it. Poor Puppy :(

    OK, off to put the kids to bed.

    Woohoo first day at new job done - and was :cool: literally as the school heating is a bit pants! Actually was really nice and didn't have much stressful to do. Had to do a lot of thinking so my brain aches but apart from that was a very good day.

  • XH has decided he's going to buy a cottage in the village for DD1 and his girlfriends DS to move into as he wants an investment and it would ease the shortage of space both at ours and his when baby is born and when DS comes home on leave from the army. This is a good idea we think (me, DH and of course DD1 who is mega excited). She would just have to pay £200 a month and food and broadband and he will pay everything else (as well as furnishing it) and girlfriends DS will pay less a month as he's on an apprenticeship and earns very little. A slight problem DD1 has is that she doesn't really know girlfriends Ds only seen half a dozen times in the 2 and a bit years that they have had a relationship so doesn't know if they will rub along together, though she'd rather be there than here with DD2 drama queen episodes.

    Another problem is DD2 feels her nose is being pushed out! I know, I know! What do I do? Shall I tell her to grow up at least she can have a bigger room here? Shall I just tell her to grow up (have I said that?!) I think she was thinking she could stay in her room at her Dad's but he doesn't want that. She does want to move here when the baby is born as she says she wants to be here with us. Only snag on my/our behalf is that XH said "well she can have both rooms at yours one for her and one for the baby" Errr no, the baby needs to be with it's mum IMO for the first few months for night time feeds etc, anyway I put him straight on that score when he rang me this morning; I told him he isn't dictating what goes on down here. He is a bit (cross that out and put mega) control freak so has it all worked out in his head. Another dilema in this blooming family, is it just us or are all families like this?

    Flying - I've put away the bits and bobs I bought at the shop today. Not a great deal but the house is still looking good, though the kitchen floor needs a wipe from the snow and ice that has trailed in and dried. Also closed all curtains and blinds to keep the heat in - deary me it's a cold one again

    Kids tucked up in bed, came down feeling smug as had a good day and the house looks much better.

    Hear a sawing sound as I come downstairs - can my ears be deceiving me or is DH sawing in the kitchen and all the sawdust is falling all over the floor I mopped just a few hours ago? :mad: Will he clean it up? :mad:

    Grrrrrrrrr :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
