She does need new clothes. but ever the skint flint that I am was waiting for the sales.. just got her a new denim skirt and some jeans from next and she was given money for some jeans last weekend.. she has been told not to let him know she has these and to spend as much money as possible.. she snorted at me like I was insane and said she had every intention of doing that anyway! I taught her well :A:A:A mercenary little bblighter!

And yes.. I am so aloof when face to face I almost make myself sick. He appears to be learning.. though it may be a temporary thing.. but he hasn't been trying to deliberately rile me of late, he just ends up looking very silly.. :p
Sounds like its all starting to fall into place then!

I put my card in the machine to pay and my mind went blank  i couldn't remember my pin number for love nor money:o. I tried twice and got it wrong, i was in there for ages trying to remember because i knew if it was wrong a 3rd time they would block my card. Luckily i finally remembered. :T

a few months ago I was asking about mops and someone (sorry can't remember who :o) recommended the e-cloth system. finally decided to go mad and treat myself to one as I couldn't face getting down on my poor knees and scrubbing the floor again!

That was me. How did you get on with it?

Braved the cold and went and collected the shelves which hopefully DH will be home in time to put together if not on the wall.

Jackets smell almost done which is good cause I'm hungry - must be all the wii fit I did :rotfl:

Four out of seven thank you letters done... it's freezing cold now, so I'm going to close the curtains and put the heating on... and then decide whether to go out (I have to brave the roads to get to the gym) or stay in and keep flying... and possibly even get some work done!
  • I tend to skim read the thread and sometimes miss stuff. In my haste i read that as that he had strung up two dead cows from his apple tree:rotfl:

Am glad I wasn't the only one who thought they read that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMG. Just cleaning kitchen windows and notice that neighbour has strung up two dead crows in his apple tree. Is this some kind of bizarre new year ritual that I don't know about? How do I explain that to the children?!

I think they are to serve as some sort of dire warning to other crows about what will happen if they nest/roost in the tree. Don't see many of them in apple trees though - I thought they preferred to be higher up. A farmer in a near-ish village used to string up moles from his gate for the same reason.

Started back to work today. Took me ages to defrost my car & the roads were awful More snow over the rest of the week apparently  Hate driving in it. :o Nice to be back though & catch up with everyone.

Decorations are boxed up and labelled and in garage. Christmas tree is in the box and taped up.....just need to take it out. I took out the first box and took the recycling out to the bin and in the process, the dog ripped apart a bin bag in the house to get at some chicken bones which he isnt allowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the process he spilt double cream all over the kitchen floor and the chicken bones are long gone!!! Kitchen floor is cleaned up on my hands and knees are the rubbish is all re-bagged to go to the tip.
