a few months ago I was asking about mops and someone (sorry can't remember who
) recommended the e-cloth system. finally decided to go mad and treat myself to one as I couldn't face getting down on my poor knees and scrubbing the floor again!
done a few bits in the kitchen - had a go at the oven and I'm quite pleased with the results - used biological washing liquid.
knuckled down this afternoon and emptied the ironing bag! :j just got to put it all away now before I start dinner.weaving through the chaos...0 -
Defrosted the car to make sure it started after standing for a few days (it did
) then went down the village for bread and milk. W agreed to have his hair cut at the barber's but when we got there one was shut until 7th Jan and the other had his door locked!
More dot2dotting done since lunch and lego building with W, he built up another new aeroplane, even if I say so myself he did brilliantly
Recycling has been collected just as I was on the phone to complain :rotfl:. Previous ironing put away and am about to do some more which was generated yesterday.rosepink1984 wrote: »AnW’s but but but thinking of not having chocolate for weeks and weeks makes me want to cry…
I never said it would be easy, the best way is to think 'I am not having any cocolate today' and then repeat that each morning. That way you are only giving up for the dayDid you get the milk out of the settee?

:jMondays list is all done! :j
and now I am back in bed for a rest!Been feeling sick for a couple of days now but not giving in! Still managed to walk the pooch, (well actually she ran around the field while I strolled a bit in the middle! :rotfl:) then back to bed, do some flying then back to bed etc., Reward is a nice clean kitchen! and a tired dog!
Woo hoo!
managed 2 loads of washing and have got most dry on the radiators. Mt ironing pile is calling so a HHI after a little rest and I can then catch up with my recorded Poirot progs. Dinner needs to be prepped still but I have managed to make a big container of hm muesli for the morning.
Thank you team for getting me back on track! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Afternoon all

Happy birthday Quillion and Lil-me's DS
Hope you feel better soon Mudders
Congrats on the little one Scared
Thanks for the book Greenbee, it arrived today. Rach, I'll let you know when I've finished it - it'll probably be a couple of weeks.
Have flown since I got in. Took the tree and stuff down and concentrated on the living first. Then I'm going to check the other public rooms like the bathroom and the way to it, then I'll concentrate on the kitchen.
I have TWO meetings at mine straight after work tomorrow. First, as I mentioned last week, is with a reporter from the local paper - Rach, you might not have picked up my post from last week - apparently he's investigating the board we both sat on. People have been asking about where all the money went!!!!! I shall put him right and stick up for the good work we did. Then I've a community meeting straight after so the place needs to be pristine before I leave for work tomorrow.
Right, my five minutes are up, off to check the bathroom etc. nowI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Have started my thank you letters... can you tell I'm not exactly focussed today?0 -
OMG. Just cleaning kitchen windows and notice that neighbour has strung up two dead crows in his apple tree. Is this some kind of bizarre new year ritual that I don't know about? How do I explain that to the children?!
I tend to skim read the thread and sometimes miss stuff. In my haste i read that as that he had strung up two dead cows from his apple tree:rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Grin and bear it... and point out that presents are presents, he's supposed to buy them stuff at Christmas (preferably stuff they want/need), and isn't it nice that he has had some time with DD and is getting to know what kind of stuff she likes. Rise above it
You know you can (in fact, I bet you do to his face...)
She does need new clothes. but ever the skint flint that I am was waiting for the sales.. just got her a new denim skirt and some jeans from next and she was given money for some jeans last weekend.. she has been told not to let him know she has these and to spend as much money as possible.. she snorted at me like I was insane and said she had every intention of doing that anyway! I taught her well :A:A:A mercenary little bblighter!
And yes.. I am so aloof when face to face I almost make myself sick. He appears to be learning.. though it may be a temporary thing.. but he hasn't been trying to deliberately rile me of late, he just ends up looking very silly..

Hi again,
I've had fun and games. I needed bread due to Ds1's sandwich addiction so thought i'd get some on the way back from the school run. The Co-op car park was full so i thought i'd go to the garage and get some fuel at the same time. I put my card in the machine to pay and my mind went blank  i couldn't remember my pin number for love nor money:o. I tried twice and got it wrong, i was in there for ages trying to remember because i knew if it was wrong a 3rd time they would block my card. Luckily i finally remembered. :T Then as i was driving away i realised i'd forgotton the flipping bread:eek:. There was no way i was going back in there again so i had to go to the little shop and pay £1.29 for a loaf of almost stale bread.
As well as that i have
