Now I hope this is OK as I am actually following the actual Flylady routine (I get the emails) and find this works well for me. I need to try to concentrate on one area of the house per week. Is this OK to do on here or should I be on a proper Flylady forum? I have resigned myself to the fact I won't be getting any stars :( as I'm not really doing your lists. I love coming on here though and find it really helpful to get me motivated.

Anyhow, here's my list for what I've done today (I do one of these each day but don't normally post cos it's big!):

    Morning routine:
[STRIKE]Shower / wash and dress to shoes
    Swish and swipe
Get kids’ milk and our cup of tea
    Get DD and DS dressed
    Air the beds
    Feed dog at 8.00
    Breakfast
Empty the dishwasher (if run last night)
    Empty the washing machine
Take down dry clothes from day before and either put away / put to iron
    Hang up wet clothes
School / pre school run (only PS Thurs and Fri)
    Make the beds
Load and set washing machine for early tomorrow am
    What’s for dinner?
    Check emails
    Check for work
    Kelly’s challenge
Zone work / decluttering (still in the decluttering phase)
    Walk the dog
Collect DS from pre school (only Thurs and Fri)
    Lunch

    Afternoon / early evening routine:
    Feed dog at 2.00
    Ironing
    Typing
    School run
Dinner – try to wash up as I go; if not possible do asap
    Load and set dishwasher
Kids to bath / wash and have milk
Get out DD’s uniform ready for tomorrow and leave school bag by door ready with anything else needed
    Kids to bed
Do DH’s packed lunch for tomorrorw
    Tidy kitchen

    Evening / before bed routine:
Typing (if any left from earlier)
    Feed dog at 8.00
    Put out any hot spots
    Check emails
Check calendar and write to do list for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
Go to bed at a decent time!!

Kelly's challenge was to clean the fridge out - you wouldn't want to hear what I found in there ! I've cheated a bit as DD isn't at school tomorrow so I haven't got out her uniform and I haven't done any school/PS runs obviously.

Thanks for all your support earlier; we had a nice walk and I felt better then ruined it by yelling at DD when she picked up my knitting and dropped some stitches :o

    Tomorrow's another day.

    Hi folks
Wow there was a lot to catch up on today. I can't remember names, but lots of good vibes to everyone who needs them.
HelenJelly I know it's a horribly difficult time for you at the moment, but please remember that at least your DH is getting the scans he needs. At least that way the doctors can check if their diagnosis is right. Lots of coping vobes for you.
    Happy Birthday Greenbee!

    Evening....
Just woken up, so apologies if this doesn't make any sense...fell asleep when DS did. He still needs to feed to get to sleep and sometimes I end up wasting the evening because I sleep too. Obviously, I'm more tired than I think.

DDs school looks to be closed again tomorrow; hope she is a bit calmer than today.

In between tantrums (hers and mine!) I've managed the following:

Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one
[STRIKE]Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace![/STRIKE] More like 3 hours when I fell asleep this evening!
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe sofas
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. I don't want any hurt backs![/STRIKE]
Sort coats and shoes and bags
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb allthose corners and electrical appliances and shelves.. etc
Clear mantel and put back only what should be up there!
    Wipe and water plants[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    1. Vacuum under furniture you can safely move
    2. Wash any soft furnishing that need it
    3. [STRIKE]polish and dust all the electricals![/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Binbag dance.. [/STRIKE]
I'd better go and see what needs doing downstairs (I'll bet no-one else has tidied up the living room), then I'll be back off to bed. Just noticed a patch of mould starting on the bedroom ceiling, so you can bet I'll be up there with the bleach tomorrow.

    Take care

  • Hello
I'm here, thank you everyone who posted lovely encouraging messages.
This morning I finished the washing up and felt much better. Still can't look too closely at my room though. I did take off the sheet and put it with a couple of other things in the wm this morning, it is now drapped over chairs drying. Will change the duvet when I put the clean sheet on in a mo before going to bed. Came up here at 9ish to get an early night and have been reading this thread and facebook since then.
I haven't washed up tonights dinner things but I think I will leave them 'till morning and get a good nights sleep. Wish I had a dish washer. Not posssible in my small kitchen, and anyways OH usually does it but he is away for the week. Walked into town to pick up some veg for dinner then met DD and walked back with her, out about 2hrs all told. Walked very slow in these conditions but must count some way as exercise. Off to bed now ignoring the chaos around me. Will tackle some more tomorrow.
Greenbee :bdaycake:Happy Birthday, hope you had a nice day.

    Evening all

Firstly, apologies to toots for being too chatty...bored at home is my excuse!

But, I have also been flying, so posting my list so far this week, will need to finish at the weekend. I'm going away after work (if I can get there) tomorrow. My friend has booked a photoshoot special deal thingy for me and her for friday for my birthday. Slightly sore point as (i know it's ungrateful!) it's really not my kind of thing, I don't have enough clothes for 3 decent outfits, and she booked it without asking me so i've had to take a day's annual leave from work! BUT I will make sure I enjoy it (if i can get to birmingham...). Am all packed for that at least and am showered, legs shaved, hair washed etc. I've also added a few more things to my diary and the wall calendar.

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level One
    Declutter and wipe those worksurfaces
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Level Two
    clean blinds/curtains
    Clean the hob and oven
    Clean out the fridge..
    Level Three
Clean and wipe the table, replace the cloth if necessary
Clean out the under sink cupboard.. new year, new cleaning products!
    Dust and deweb
Wipe over the units and large appliances

    Extras
    1. Sort recipe books/files
    2. Wipe over all the small appliances
Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
    Level One
Strip wash and replace the bedding!
Declutter the floor.. laundry gone, shoes gone.. etc
    Level Two
Clear a box of stuff from the landing.
    Vacuum and turn the mattress
    Vacuum the floors
    Level Three
Tidy a chest of drawers/wardrobe.. is there anything past its best that can go live elsewhere?
Clear and tidy the top of a wardrobe/COD and replace only what is necessary.. surely you don't need it all!?
Wash curtains/blinds that are in need.

    Extras
    1. Dust and deweb
    2. Shine 2 lightshades!
Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one

Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them
Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace!
    Level Two

Completely off topic but i have to put this somewhere and i can't face the other boards.

DH got a phone call this afternoon from work to tell him he is suspended pending investigation of several discrepancies on start ups on Sunday night that have cost alot of money. He has to go into work tomorrow to pick up a letter detailing them and then go back to a meeting.

DH works in a factory and is a quality technician. He has been there for 20 years.

It is the same company that made me redundant last year. I feel sick with worry as if dh loses his job we are well and truly f***ed.

Flying note dw on just to keep on topic !

Quillion, Hex is an absolute diamond when it comes to HR. If you haven't already then speak to her. She's an :A:A She helped me out with Mr Tag last year and long story short Mr Tag had a very favorable outcome!!:D:D Which reminds me I still haven't told her what happened:eek::o:o I will email/fb or pm you hex.

On a flying note.........well.............it's Wednesday and we all know what that means in Tag Towers! Needless to say it was a typical 'Whirlwind Wednesday'!!:rolleyes:

But on a positive note I did do my 5 a day ebay challenge!:D:D:D And the DW was put on, just not emptied:o And the washing that I did yesterday has been distributed to places various to dry:D:D I've not used the TD once yet this year and I'm hoping to keep it that way!;)

No school for Miss Tag tomorrow. Master Tag is hoping and praying for the same and is feigning illness as a Plan B, just in case!

I've wrestled the rabbit into the shed. Which was no mean feat I can tell you. That thing is EVIL!! It's to cold for her in the conservatory/lean to greenhouse type thing as it has continual air con at the moment.

The dog has pinched all the kittens food so I must feed them again now:rolleyes: and try to find them to shove them back in the dining room for the night. Else they'll be tanking up and down the stairs or across the landing at 90mph all night.

I am going to attempt and earlier night than last night. It's good to already know that I don't have to get up in the morning!:D:D So signing of now and catch you all tomorrow.

Oh and I know it's a bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREENBEE!! I hope you had a good one!! xx

Bathroom shelves emptied, cleaned and replaced. Bathroom basin cleaned and tidied. And you wouldn't believe how much dust there was on the top of the shower rail :eek: (I noticed this when I was having a shower the other day... it seems a bit excessive to clean it specifically, but then again, how long does it really take to run a cloth over it???) Gym washbag checked and topped up. Think I might have a shower now, as I feel grubby and horrible, and I'll then be nice and clean for bed!

Still lots to do from my personal lists... both flying and work :o
