Welcome Pennywise!
Thanks for the support:beer: Think we have a similar debt free date so we'll be sharing this journey together!
Had a good day today - went to kids speech day where ddno1 received 2 prizes. Have to enjoy her efforts before she discovers boys and forgets her education:rotfl:
Have been watching the bank account carefully this week - pay day on friday and I hate this end of the month. I don't know what my dh hears when I say that we've got no money til payday cos he just keeps on spending. Think his brain interprets it as 'she's moaning about money again, just nod and she'll go away!';)
Kids finish school tomorrow. Big ones are at snr school now so no more presents for teachers, so just got to provide for one teacher and one classroom assistant. Also it's demon baby's last week with the childminder so have to get her a gift. Fortunately I stockpiled at the Boots 75% off sale after Christmas so can provide bargain priced toiletries!
Working from home for next 2 days (sadly kids will be home from mid day tomorrow;)) so need to be extra organised. Have a feeling the holidays are goingto be expensive!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
I also hate this time of month, badly need payday to come around, but don't get paid until next friday.0

Had a nice surpriise yesterday - the tax credits paid £66 into my account, I finally got round to renewing it last week, so they must have owed me some:j Couldn't have come at a better time, as I would have gone over the o/d limit without it!! Guess it's one good thing about having kids.
Working from home today but have demon baby with me as grandma normally has her on a Thursday but she's on holiday. Still will make up for it tomorrow as she'll be at last day with childminder (so ONLY 3 of them at home!) and then at weekend I have asked dh to take all the kids out so I can catch up on work. Wonder what he has planned?? Nothing I imagine, I'll have to sort something out, but so long as he takes them, I don't mind!;)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
LOL - I don't have kids, but have asked my colleagues to 'lend' me some for financial reasons! S'pose its just a bit of identity theft I am interested in!
Try and find somewhere that takes a while to get to and home again for them to do, that way they will be away longer and demon baby will fall asleep on the way home!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Love it!! But knowing my luck, she'll sleep all the way there and be up all night:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Morning! Got paid yesterday so treated ourselves to a takeaway last night!:o Also went to M&S sale to get new bras!! Definitely a need not want;) NOt much of a sale, so wasn't tempted by anything else.:)
Got letter from tax credits today. They want to check my income from last year (as obviously my telling them wasn't enough!) Think it's because they have found we're entitled to a little bit more than had been predicted. Anyway, they have asked for my P60 and all my wageslips - what's the point in that, surely it shuld be one or the other! Anyway they also need dh's as well. They have also asked for proof of my childcare etc (even though I don't claim for that!) Proof of benefits (although we don't claim) and proof of dh's disability for working tax credit! (even though we're not entitled to that element, only child tax credit) He is profoundly deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other, perhaps I should get him to phone them and put the phone to his bad ear;) Just more paper shuffling exercises I guess, but what else have I got to do, other than send pointless letters?Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Not much a sale is right, I found nothing!
Pain in the bum re the tax credits!

Feeling relieved. Had interview this morning and while I think I blew it, at least I no longer have to worry about what to wear!;) I eventually gave in and turned to dd no1 for advice and after going through my wardrobe, she chose the suit that I bought 7 years ago for my original interview for the company, (went for an expensive M&S - classic!) so I returned the suit I bought at Next last week and the variety of tops I'd bought to see which one went best with it, so had £55 refunded so far with another £25 to come. I am also sending back some stuff to Tesco - about £20 worth. This may not sond much, but 12 months ago, I wouldn't have bothered, I'd have stuck then in my wardrobe and forgotten about them, then put them in a charity shop bag at some point!!:) All this money saving can't be good for the charity shops!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
