:(Had a tooth out today (grieved I had to pay for the privilege!) A little sore now but scared I'm still a bit numb and it might get worse.
After dentist, I went to Asda and did my weekly shop - couldn't bear the thought of struggling with the Saturday madness in this heat. Spent about £80, which leaves £20 for milk/bread etc in the week.
Was at moms earlier and she is having her bathroom refurnished - at last!! She has a really deep enamel bath which is being taken out. The side of the bath was off today and I noticed that it still has the old claw feet in good condition. I was wondering if when it comes out, if it would be worth anything. Looked on ebay but they don't seem to have many and the ones they have don't have bids. Knowing my luck, I'd just end up with a big old bath!!;) Think I've just got so used to putting a price on everything that we throw away!!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
You should contact a salvage yard, they can be worth a lot of money.
We took one out and grow spuds in it now (there were no feet on ours) but have decided when we get bathroom done to re-enamel it and put it back in because compared to the plastic one we have, it is fantastic!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Going to work late today as sitting in waiting for washing machine repair man!!!! The guarantee ran out in May, but Hotpoint kept ringing to see if we wanted to extend it for £5 a month. I was reluctant but dh kept answering phone and he just can't say no to anything! Thank God he couldn't say no on this occasion;)
Pay day in 8 days!! Next week is the last time I will need to pay my childminder, so hopefully I can start working on my finances betterFeeling quite positive at the moment - also hoping to have a load of expenses paid in this wage packet and then more next month, should be about £100 extra, which will come in handy with all 4 dds bdays in next 2 months. Then I can start thinking about Christmas:(

Got phone call today from girls' school asking if I'd like to volunteer on their trip to France for 3 days in November! They'll pay my fare and stuff so despite being accompanied by the 80 teenagers, I'm viewing it as a free holiday and can't wait!!
Have to be honest, as much as I moan about my dds, they are good kids. Eldest 2 have had a fantastic first year at senior school and have just received outstanding school reports and one of them is receiving 2 awards at speech day next week! DD no3 has also had a great year and look forward to receiving her report tomorrow. And as for the demon baby, well where do I start... she is the light of our lives but she continues with her demon streak. Last night she cut her hair and is now sporting a mullet hair cut - NICE!!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
LOL Demon Baby sounds like a lively spirit. I have a neice like that. Her sister is angelic (well sort of) which makes the 3 year old look so much worse. My sister is unable to discipline her because she just does her own thing, regardless of any consequence!

OK, got up early and was at Next by 6 am (still too late for some of the bargains!!) Got a lovely suit for my interview next week! Got a couple of other things that were want not need!!!! Feel a little guilty but they were all half price or less! ;-)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120

But they were half price so that moves them out of want and into need.
What's the suit like?LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

The suit is lovely - it's a trouser suit with a short jacket. Should have been £98, reduced to £45!! However, just tried it on and the trousers are a little tight. This may be the incentive I need to try and lose the extra stone I'm carrying, but no chance of me doing that in a week and only so much those magic knickers can pull in!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120

Morning!
In my bid to lose weight, I decided to walk to the library yesterday as it's only a mile away, then my dd no3 came up with idea of riding our bikes. I bought bike 4 yrs ago with good intentions, rode it round park a couple of times, then popped it in the garage.Anyway, decided to do 2 mile ride yesterday, I had forgotten how sore those saddles are!!;)
As a reward, bought some bits on Tesco website - they have some clothes at 75% off, so got stuff for demon baby for next year. (All she needs this year is a hat - or wig!!:rotfl:) It's her bday in 2 weeks and have seen a lovely wooden play kitchen in Toys R Us reduced to £49.99 from £100. In fact might put that on the bargain buys thread now (after I've ordered mine:)) I've bought her some little bits and that's her sorted. Just got to get cards and balloons and stuff to decorate the tent- camping that week, so hope weather improves!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
