First day of rest of my life

Hello everyone,
Just got back from 5 days camping in Skegness! The weather was fab at the end of the week and we had a great time - apart from dd no1 who, being a would-be-teenager, obviously moaned about everything!
However, we spent loads. I also haven't sold our old car yet and so my debt has increased and even when it's sold the debt will be static!:o Doesn't seem to matter how much money we have, we spend more. I have kept up with all my payments, so no nasty extra fees but I agreed to buy the new car on my cc last month on condition that we pay it off when the old car gets sold. Then all sense left and once the cc saw the light of day, we sort of made the the most of it!
Anyway - I am determined to get back on track. I don't care if I can't make overpayments as I have a few things coming up soon (birthdays etc) but no more spending on the cc - the debt must reduce a little each month!!
Going to start by relisting everything on ebay tomorrow - free listing day!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Welcome back and I am very glad you had a good time, we all need a break from debt busting from time to time!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
(CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

:)relisted loads, but the new rules are a bit confusing so got charged a listing fee as they weren't new listings or something. Was really tired and decided it was worth a couple of pound to just get things on, rather than searching for a way of getting round it!!;)
Back to work and things were a little hectic - feeling a little restless as well - must be all this talk of new jobs on these boards!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -

Hi Cialilerin
You sound like me at the moment - manic life, 'trying' to save/pay off debts, but life so busy no time to post.

Evening,
:(Have to admit that things have been bad on the financial front recently and I was completely demotivated. Everything at woek went mad and I was working like crazy - yet had nothing to show for it so was feeling very low about it all!
However, I'm going to get back on board the debt busting train and going to work harder than ever to sort these b****y debts out!
Brief update - still ebaying and watching some pennies but dh spending like there's no tomorrow - although admittedly lot of the spends were necessary car repairs!!
Last week, had dd no3 first holy communion, while I borrowed the dress and got veil and tiara on ebay:), the party after was another expense!
2 cars had to be taxed today!!
Yesterday, 2 dds came home with school letters for trip to France - £190 each! Determined that they can go - spent more than that on useless stuff so will make sure that the kids educational needs won't suffer!
On top of this - I work for public sector so no wage rise for 2 years
HOWEVER, I have just done a balance transfer onto a card we had forgotten about!! I am going to pop a couple of pushchairs and stuff on ebay later and will sort out my child tax credits. I have also found a nuresery place for the demon baby so no more child minding fees from mid-July.
Welcome back to the new MSE me:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
