    Hi Louise

Its my first weigh in since I came away on my hols and Ive LOST 1lb:j

Ive updated my signature, I now just have to lose the other 13!!

Being away from home has really helped I think because I am drinking more fluid and eating lighter meals, mainly because of the heat (Im in Florida and they are experiencing record highs of 91 degrees for this time of year).

I think putting my bikini on has really spurred me on to lose weight as well (I Looked like a weeble when I got here but the tummy is starting to firm up a bit and the fluid has gone from my knees and ankles).

I have been exercising every morning doing crunches and push ups before hitting the sunlounger:D

Well done everyone who has lost or sts this week and keep up the good work.

Was a bit ashamed of my 3lb gain last week , however that had been sorted by my weekend walk with the Long Distance Walking Association

wags finger - no, no, no. Don't be ashamed. You gained 3 pounds dealt with it, you are back on track. Being ashamed only leads to more self-deprecating thoughts which in turn is a downward spiral (trust me, been there done that a 100 times on 100 diets!). You drew a line under it and you are now doing fab, well done

I think I said 10 more by Xmas , fool.
more finger wagging at beating yourself up type language :p:D 10 pounds in 10 weeks is do-able (as long as you stay away from those ladies with their bacon butties :p ) but whatever you achieve by Christmas is in addition to the 10 pounds so it's going to be a stone plus - think of that in tins of beans where each tin weighs a pound, it is a great achievement to know you've already lost the equivlent of 10 tins of beans. You'll be taking on more walks and more challenging exercise and your knee and hips will feel great because of what you have achieved ;) :T:T

    Hi All :hello:

I know I need to up my exercise. I have an exercise bike but I probably need a new one. Does anyone have any thoughts on exercise bikes?

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

If it's ok I would love to join in this thread. I've been looking for a thread with this kind of challenge and this seems to be the right place.

I haven't got a lot of weight to lose and for me it's more the challenge and motivation I need to get back into exercise. I used to exercise quite a bit (in particular running) but these days find every excuse not to go-or go later/tomorrow and it then never happens.

Having been on half term this week I should have done more than usual as I have had no excuse of work except this seems to make me worse- lack of routine I think.

Anyway, I really really want to firm up flabby bits as I am getting quite squishy in places that I'd rather not be squishy! With clothes on I look ok but minus clothes,oh dear, not so good. In particular my bum and thighs which are my main issues!

I know that as soon as I start exercising regularly again I'll feel 100 times better but just need to get on with it- and stop just talking about it.

Have promised myself I'm off to the gym this evening so will report back later that I've definitely been.

I'm getting a new car soon so I'm seeing new car as start of the new me-yay!

Look forward to getting to know you peeps xxx

Welcome to the new posters, I hope you find the thread supportive I know I do:)

I am having major food issues at the moment as I just cannot seem to get to grips with being organised with meals. Now that the colder days are here I am going to make more use of my slow cooker so that there is something ready for when we come in on an evening.

At the moment we seem to be living of chicken everything:o

Walking is also trailing off due to the dark evenings so we can only stay to well lit areas which means we cant really walk anywhere interesting so feels much more of a chore.

Nice and bright today though so should get out for a nice long walk.

How is everyone doing? Hope you are doing better than I am:cool:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

sts this week after my amazing loss last week hehe
Also got told how good I looked yesterday by a male friend :-)
  • 1 lb off this week after STS last week (I'm sure I posted last week with that but I cannot find it :()

I'm also a slow cooker fan, I find it a godsend in the winter months.

My diet has been a bit rubbish lately, full of frozen and convenience food. I really need to get myself organized and start eating more veg and 'proper food'. But half the time I really can't be bothered especially after a long working day, I know it would make me feel better though, its finding the motivation. Same with exercise at the moment: me and Mr Candy are doing weekly yoga class and dog walks and that's about it at the moment. I really need to get started with my cross trainer again I think.

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend. x
