Hello all.. I've been trying to lose a bit for the last few months, did OK for a bit going to the gym and eating well but it's all slipped since it got a bit colder, darker etc. 10lbs by Christmas sounds good. Last time I weighed myself I was 9st 5lb but a few more pounds might have sneaked back on since then.

    Hi there

Can I join in the Christmas challenge? I lost 21 lbs earlier this year, but have lost my weightloss mojo, and need a kick start.

I would like to aim to lose a stone by Christmas. Still have a few more lbs after that, but thats a good goal to start.

If you would like to join in with this new challange just post how much you would like to lose in the next 10 weeks

I would like to give this a go, and opt for 10 lbs. Baby steps I'm thinking 1 lb per week should be achievable. I've got a lot of stuff hanging in my wardrobe that I would love to fit into again :)

I'm planning on dusting down my cross trainer this week and using it for the reason I bought it - keeping fit and not as an expensive place to hang clothes :o

Thanks for keeping the challenges going, Louise.

Please put me down for a stone to come off before Christmas.

Quick question for you all, I've lost just over a stone, quite gradually, and none of my clothes look too big and no one has noticed. For those who have changed size; at what point did your clothes become baggy and people notice? I know we're all different and as I'm 5'8" which I guess is quite tall, a size 16 unless its cut on the waist, and towards the top of the 'overweight' section on the chart, I know it is going to take a little longer. I'm curious as to when I might be able to justify some new clothes :rotfl: ....

    Good luck

I'm 5 10" it took about 1 & half stone before people started to really notice for me, by this point I really needed new clothes as they were hanging off me! Keep at it, it will be noticed & you will need new clothes soon enough!

I'm really short, and it was about a stone before people started noticing - it would take a little more if you are taller I guess.

But keep going, well done on what you have acheived so far!

Have to say......for me it was getting on for 4 stone before anyone noticed. I had a couple of quick quizzical glances when I got to 3.5 stone but it was 4 stone before there were a couple of embarrassed enquiries and even then they didn't come thick and fast. I'm 5'7" but think it is because I have such a huge amount to lose that nobody noticed before they did. The comments started to come more at 5 stone and they are now almost daily which is quite nice but a bit :o. I wore a suit today as I had to go out to sign up a new candidate and it was a black jacket/purple blouse and a long black cut on the bias skirt with purple 'ribbon' type design on it. I got lots of comments and looks today so it seems it must be noticeable now at a shade under 6 stone off :rotfl:My clothes started to get baggy around about the 1.5 to 2 stone mark.
