Well it's the weekend:j
Need to sort out my email notifications - it doesn't seem to be letting me know anything that's happening.
Not much to report, made payments on cards and am getting expenses back from award trip so seeing as I haven't missed it and it's over £100 I'm going to use it to pay a bit more off one of the cards.
Also have to take my one treat this month back. Got a nautical style dress from River Island but when I got it home it looks really faded and odd so back it goes. Gonna walk in to town and also get some exercise
Add to that a couple of NSDs and a great lesson observation from the Head and all in all not a bad week. OH is out at the football (aparently the 1st Friday night match since the 70s or something so he's making a big deal of it and has been since midday
) so spending the night with galaxy and 17 again. :rotfl: NSD -5/20

I really do dislike Sunday evenings! Still next weekend is half term so only 5 get ups to go!!
Ended up going to the Metro Centre yesterday so spent a little on some clothes, bought a top from Next but had to take it back today because the fitting of it was awful. It was far to tight over the tummy area and then the top half was way too big.
It was good to get out of the house for once, didn't spend as much as I would have before so not a bad trip.
Sorted out wedding invitations last night, I was going to do them myself but when I looked at sourcing items it was going to be roughly £2.50 before things like glue, scissors etc and then I didn't have a clue when I would have had the spare 10 hours or so to do them. So went to a local business who is going to do them for 50p more a card which I think is a better alternative.:j
Had minor wobble last night as thought we had less in the wedding account then we did (my mum is keeping a tight rein on it - she likes to control things!!) so had major panic that we wouldn't be able to afford them and that I would be making invitations in the wee small hours of the morning!! Thankfully we have enough
I don't think the bags under my eyes or my class woul dhave thanked me for it!
Managed a NSD day today, went to OH parents for lunch and have tackled my ironing mountain and had a massive tidy of hte house. Can't wait until half term when I can do a proper clean and tidy.NSD -5/20

Phew! Have had the most hectic week, kids in class have been hyper and wicked, so pleased it's half term. Looking forward to pottering time and getting everything in order. Don't seem to get the time to do it duing the week and then can't face queues at weekend.
Still not a bad week in the debt busting world. 3 NSDs, paid a little extra off a card and quite a few onepolls and a pinecone!
Spent a little today on birthday presents and a magazine. Haven't bought one since Christmas so felt like a treat. OH out at poker night at his mates tonight so got the house to myself. Going to catch up on my trash skyplus and slob.

Half term has landed officially!!
Had a very quiet weekend, went to friends for steak last night and only spent £1.20 on a bottle of lucozade at gym. (Still a little annoyed as have left my water bottle at work ).
Even more impressed that I ran for 25 minutes without keeling over on the treadmill and was then able to do some other things after :j.
Really looking forward to going ot the gym tonight. Going to do another 25 min run and then go to a bodybalance class.
Have spent today doing [STRIKE]planning[/STRIKE] watching TV and realised I need a book for school that my county library doesn't stock so managed to order a second hand one but still another £5 off my budget. No one tells you that when you become a teacher you'll be spending most of your "average wage" (laughs outloud at any chance of making this wage!) on basic things for your class.
Anyway, have cancelled hair and makeup trial tomorrow. TBH she was charging £80 for a practice run and I haven't got my veil yet so would have had to book another one nearer the time. I'm still umming and arring about doing my own makeup but part of me wants to be spoilt a little on the day and I haven't got time to get to a makeup counter first.
Aiming for a NSD tomorrow and will get some more owrk done honest!!
Just had the Next catelogue (sp??) arrive. Bad as I cancelled it and don't want to be charged for it. (says in very very very small voice good because I like to look at the pretty things, even if I can't afford them!!) A strongly worded email me thinks.NSD -5/20

Think I have just been scammed!! Got a text from OH mentioning watching the footie tonight. I agreed he could and then realised that the Brits are on .
Am sorely tempted to buy a spare television for the bedroom...Trying to talk myself out of it while I speak. We've done so well these last 6 weeks why blow it all now. Suppose I could sky plus it and then can fastforward through dull bits!!
Currently watching my new favourite daytime TV programme - House gift. It really is the way forward.
So far so good today though, having an NSD and been to the gym. Nearly chickened out of the class as there were only 3 people for it but stayed and very pleased with myself. Have also got most of my planning done :j
Looking after my cousins little boy tomorrow so trying to find cheapish things to do with him in town. Looks like the Hancock museum and the dinosaur exhibition it is!!NSD -5/20

Well I have a confession to make. Well actually it's 3

I sort of went a bit mad last week and ordered from Boohoo.com, amazon and then went into next and bought underwear. I felt physically sick when I saw all three packages in the bedroom. In my defence I've been looking for a nautical style blazer for ages and ordered a cheap one from Boohoo. However when I arrived it wasn't quite right. I also needed a white dress for my hendo and got one in the same order. In the olden days I would have kep thte blazer and worn it once or twice.
So with my sensible MSE head on I've returned all of the above. :j if not a little sheepish for having bought them in the first place!!
Does anyone else feel sort of sorry for themselves when they see friends getting nice things? I know they are probably living beyond their means and that it will come back and bite them and that this is also to blame for the situation I've found myself in. But it is so hard at times!
Another thing that is annoying me - what a ranty post this is turning out to be! - is that I feel a bit of a miser constantly saying sorry I can't afford to go out. We've got a wedding and a birthday night out next month and neither are going to be cheap. Part of me wants to say no now but I haven't been out since before Christmas and am starting to go stir crazy if I'm honest. I miss my friends!!!NSD -5/20

Argghhhh!
Right rant over and a new post added.
Looking at positives. I sent everything back and I didn't buy a TV yesterday.
Was just talking to OH last ngiht about how great it feels to be saving for things and not just getting them on loan. It's a great feeling finally paying lonas off but an even better on to have saved and then bought something. At the mo we have £1200 saved for wedding and I'm chuffed to bits with myself.
Really looking forward to having all the debts cleared and be able to start to save for a new kitchen and to start to make our house feel like a home with the little things that add to everything...like furniture and things!!
Made the decision to ask my other cousin to be bridesmaid and had been a little worried about getting a dress for her - the other 2 dresses were the first things I bought and I don't like to say what the cost was. However, it must have been meant to be because went on ebay and someone was selling 2 BNWT with a starting bid of £29!!!!! Would love to say I had the guts to wait until the bid was up and get them at the rock bottom price but I opted for the buy it now price of £70. Gonna sell the dresses on after and the price I paid for 2 was less than half I paid for 1!! Gonna sell on the one spare which may be one of the original ones as that bridesmaid has lost weight so the one I bought on ebay will fit and will not need altering - which would have added more to costs.
Hands up those who I've lost in my explanation.
OH and me also decided to cut costs by not getting night invites made, most of the people coming to night time are from work so we decided to just put up a staffroom poster for a general invite.
Haven't been to the gym today but have been everyday since Sunday so feeling a little smug. Going to do a 30 min jog and then body balance tomorrow night. Also aiming for a NSD and general house tidy me thinksNSD -5/20

Hi sazzle, well done for returning the things you bought. I'm terrible in that I will be very good for ages and then go mad and buy a lot of things at once.
Then I feel bad about spending money on things I don't really need. We tend to buy ourselves treats using the vouchers we get from surveys anyway, so shouldn't need to buy other things.
I know what you mean about feeling sorry for yourself when friends buy nice things - I do miss just buying clothes because I like them! Now I go "Oooh that's nice! £xx! I wouldn't pay that much for it! Oh but it's nice. Oh, but do I need it? NO! Walk away. Now. GO." etc Sometimes it's very hard but I do have lots of clothes that I hardly wear. I still feel like I have nothing to wear though. *misses shrugging smiley*
Well done on the bridesmaid dresses - sounds a bargain. Saving up for things is a good feeling and you should be chuffed for saving up as much as you have. :TSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hi Sashybo, pleased it's not just me!!! I need to perfect that "do I need it?" mantra!!
Well back to school tomorrow. Have actually had time off this week where I didn't think of school read an interesting article about work/life balance earlier today in my NUT magazine which I think I'll try and put into action.
Annoyingly didn't get to go for my run on Thursday. Turned up at the gym to be told they had shut it that evening, the next day AND Sat morning for some boxing dinner they were having. I also didn't fancy sitting aroung for 45 mins to wait for my body balance so cancelled and went home.
Went to body combat class this morning so feel good for doing that. Gonna see if I can get a refund on the 2 days they were shut as there aren't any classes on that I could have done bar the Balance one. very annoying when I am in such a positive frame of mind about exercise!!
Having our Valentines treat tonight as we went to friends last Sunday. Having a curry (from the supermarket not takeaway
) and watching Hurtlocker from Lovefilm.
Rock and roll
