Plus just a thought- but have you not thought of using e bay to buy bridesmaid things? And accessories? You can get some beautiful things at a fraction of the cost.

Well the best news of the weekend is that I love my wedding dress!!! So so over the moon as had visions of wearing something that was "ok!". Also had two very low spends, only having to buy things like bread and things like that. Next weekend is going to be a completely different matter as having a catch up with 3 different sets of friends - also worried about how I will survive the weekend and the following week if I'm honest!!

Typically, now that I've had a week in school and despite taking vitamin C and multivits like they are going out of fashion, I am loaded with cold . I would be tempted to try echinacia (sp?) but it seems to be very expensive when I look into it? Does anyone have any tips about staying cold free? Even though I wash my hands all the time, I'm wondering if it's because of the age group I teach being so young and passing things amongst themselves?
OH at the football this evening so got a night of TV to myself and the ironing pile to [STRIKE]tackle[/STRIKE] climb. Seem to have lost my get up and go with writing reviews, almost like a writers block

Well it's been a funny old week! Managed to spend small amounts each day so no NSDs. Ended up biting the bullet and forked out for some echinacia and then had to buy lysine to combat the resulting coldsore from the cold
Had a few things on the free listing on ebay but they haven't sold so back to square 1. Still plodding along with onepoll and pure profile and they are very slwoly accumulating!
Looking to have a couple of NSDs this week to try and get back into the habit of monerysaving. Unfortunately there is a light on on the dashboard which according to the people in the know is the alternator which will need replacing :( I don't like to think how much that will cost. Still for the first time EVER, we have money in the bank and only 5 days till payday in January :j

    Hi Sazzle.

Congrats on the award, how pleased are you? I'm really pleased for you and I don't know you. xx

I've been ebaying like mad all month, unless it's being worn, sprayed, screwed down it's being sold. No mercy for the unused items in my house.

I think I'll do like you and aim for a few NSD's in Feb. Although I know I will fail superbly, so might just start a spending diary instead on Monday (1st of month)

Take care hun and I'll pop in soon.

Thanks Lexie, still over the moon about it. Was finally allowed to tell the children in my class today and they got very excited!!!
    :D
On a more annoying note, very annoyed today as County Hall have messed up my pay this month and not paid me the correct amount. Alas their hands are tied and I will get the extra at the end of next month. So that means I will have to eek out my money for yet another month
Having summed up the month we haven't done too badly, for the first time ever we didn't run out of money by the end of January and we managed 8 NSDs. What we've decided is that we are going to aim for seperate NSDs next month coz we found that one would have one but the other wouldn't. We are going to go for 12.

Anyway, a very quiet weekend planned for me, OH is off on an away trip to Leicester so going to get loads of work done for school AKA drink wine and eat chocolate!!!

    Hi Sazzle,

While CH have messed up with your pay, as you won't see that when expected will you be able to throw it at a debt?, you know like an overpayment. Any i making sense?

It's late and I'm probably very incoherent.

    Have a good weekend.

Very coherent Lexie!! Knew just what you meant. It's a cracking idea, lived well within my means this month so should be able to do it this month (although I really wanted ot have abit of a break and actually buy something!!).
If I manage then will make an overpayment.

Have you decided how many NSDs your going to aim for or if you are going to do a spending diary?

    Hi Sazzle,

Funny you should say that, I have a few pounds and I just want to buy myself something sort of as a reward. But I know I will not enjoy it as I'll be thinking off the debt I could repay.

No Idea on the NSD's yet...might do it tmmw when I'm at work and nowt to do.

    Have a good weekend.

Hi sazzle, well done for not running out of money and having NSDs. :T We are always overdrawn at the end of the month and it's sooo depressing. Not very good at budgeting and OH is hopeless!
