Had a very productive evening for once. Got my science planned for the term and did a Dooyoo review. Didn't get this daily clicks thing, but heyho.
Have been hearing alot about etsy. Was wondering what that's all about. I can knit and have made things for friends so may look at selling some thigns on there. Would be realy cool to sell something I've made. Anyone had any experience of selling on it?

Have a snow day today but MUST do some planning. Am being very good, had heating on earlier but stuck an extra jumper on and have switched it off.
Sold a book on Amazon so will be getting the wellies on and walking to the Post Office to post it. Also a book I ordered out the library is in so can pick this up. Really missing that new book smell as the moment, went into Waterstones between Christmas and New Year and struggled not to buy any!
Just bought some wool online and spent £19 but it's all for a good cause as going to use it to make a baby's balnket to sell on etsy.
I'm meant to be going to the gym tonight but with the weather think I'll stay in. Have found a fitness channel on Sky that does cardio classes which looks good so will give it a whirl.

Well done on cashing out Sashybo! I've just passed £30 with onepoll and no where near with pureprofile, don't think they like me that much haha!

Today has turned out quite a busy day, got my to do list done but on top of the wool had to buy some books for school that my library doesn't stock .
Also had a panic that we didn't have enough bread and milk, helped along by both sets of parents describing the decimated aisles in Sainsers so we've wel and truely stocked up the freezer with both!!

On the plus side, finally conquered my fear of not making enough mashed potato and cut back on the amount of potatoes I peeled, making just the right amount :j
Apart from that nothing much more to say. Hoping to have a NSD tomorrow and try to make up for today

Well another day another snow day! According to local authority protocol in such an eventuality I have to go and offer my services to the nearest school. It looks as though that school will also be stuck so unlikely I'll leave the house.

Hoping to have a NSD today as only managed one with no spends at all and one with bus fare. Have already made more money on surveys today then yesterday - 50p on a YouGov poll compared to a measly 5p on onepoll yesterday. Fingers crossed for more!
After a week of putting it off, I'm finally attacking the washing, so my target for today is to try and get it dry :rotfl:
Also must hoover the stairs which I HATE doing, will reward myself with a shortbread from the tin a lovely parent bought me for Christmas. I love shortbread!!!
Got a book to list on Amazon and Greenmet and going to review it on dooyoo. It was rather dull, tapping into the furore surrounding Dan Brown and the Lost Symbol so I don't want it on my bookshelf

Pretty boring day today. Haven't actually left the house excpet to try and clear the drive which was a waste of time as it's now covered again!

Had a NSD and made 50p on Yougov, 25p on Onepoll and found 51p down the back of hte sofa! Also ebay items are looking good, one is at £14,50 and has 41 watchers :D

Bit down about not having funds at the moment. The big lights in the living and dining room have broken, something to do with the fact they have dimmer switches and something in them burning out. Asked an electrician friend and he's found some replacements for £50. As we have 4 they won't be getting replaced any time soon! Then went to do the ironing in the semi twilight and my iron is on it's way out as it's not heating up very well. Don't even get me started on the bodge jobs that the person we bought the house off last year has done throughout the house.

Desperately trying to find the positives, at least I managed to get the washing dried in the first place!

Anyway don't think there's anything else to comment on. Hopefully tomorrow will be more positive.

Well yet another snow day so being kept company by Phillip and Holly! Yet again I approached my local schools to see if they would like a hand and was surplus to requirements so doing more planning.

Found some more books to put on Amazon, trying to remember where I put all my old text books from uni. Have a feeling they are in the loft and don't fancy braving the cold up there!

Was hoping for a NSD but some books I ordered are in at the library. Although having thought about it could just pick them up tomorrow as they aren't urgent.

Keep trying Onepoll and Pureprofile but nothing. Wonder if they've been effected by the snow as well:confused:

On a more positive side, an electrician friend is going to come and have a look at our light switcehs so hopefully we can get them fixed and hoping to go to parents in law for tea so I can do my ironing. So free tea and electricity use!! Just need a sledge to get the ironing there first!

Well had one of those weekends.
Another NSD on Thursday which was good.
Headed to Nottingham on Friday as I was receiving a teacher of the year award and got put up in a hotel which was fantastic. Unfortunately we had to buy our own food and ended up spending £40 on a curry for us both. I know we should have used vouchers for a pizza etc but it's done now and we can't change it.
It all started to go downhill on the Saturday, went to put my make up on and realised I'd left my foundation at home. As there were going to be photos etc and I'm a teeny bit vain I had to send the OH out to buy more foundation. Didn't get my usual Mac but even so it was still £10 out of my budget
The day was great and I'll be getting a £1k prize which will go straight into the wedding fund :j

We headed home last afternoon to find we actually had to dig ourselves INTO our street and then noticed the heating hadn't come on through timer. The realisation soon dawned that it wasn't going to come on
After spending ages in the garage holding a hairdryer to the pipes hoping to defrost them we gave up and spent the night at the in laws.
To top the day off nicely, I realised in the rush resulting in having no make up that I'd left a library book in the hotel room. Am currently waiting for the hotel to ring me back but not holding out any hope, so that'll be more money to fork out.

Luckily the slight thaw this morning has meant that the pipes have unfrozen so the heating is back on :j.

Was very low last night thinking the worst as always. Just feels as though at the mo we are taking one step forward and really working hard to clear the debt and then taking two steps back.

Hoping for a NSD today and that I can get into school tomorrow coz I want to do snow investigations with the children!

Well done on the award.

Try not to get too down, everyone has points when they feel that they aren't getting anywhere with the debt. I know I feel like that every so often. The important part is that you're trying and you will get there.

  • Congratulations on the award!

Don't get yourself down over the money spent, just think about how much your attitude has changed. I'm sure there's a time where you'd have spent that without a second thought and that's how we end up in debt in the first place!
