Thanks Sashybo,
Feeling a bit better now. Starting to wonder if we are being a little bit harsh about our funds and the thought of having to fork out £6.99 for a lost library book pushed me over the edge
Think I need to put things into perspective a bit more!
On the plus side, 3 things sold on ebay, £21.50, £17.87 and £11.50 so ove the moon with that! Once they've paid I'll be paying some more off Mint.
Haven't had a NSD. needed a few cosmetics and want to make lard balls with the children tomorrow but still an under £10 day.
Am very tempted to buy Just dance for the Wii, it's cheap on Play and I get cash back. Think I need to go on the demotivator...
Nothing on any of the survey sites, they all seem to be slowing down a lot at the moment. Would be just my luck after spending 6 months doing them with not much to go before payout that they fall under :rotfl:
Anyway, pasta bake for tea and lunch tomorrow which makes a change from cheese sandwiches!NSD -5/20

Thanks also to Tiny, for some reasons I don't seem to be seeing posts for ages after they are put up there! It's so refreshing to have positive posts that help you keep going!
Anyway, another day in the debt busting world.
Would have loved to have a NSD but had to pay for the library book that got left in Nottingham. Have been on the phone to the hotel to try and get it returned but no such look so got a charge of £5.99. Still it could have been worse, could have been a hardback
Managed to get a few surveys to complete today and OH bout a PS3 game on his works intranet. Turns out they are selling for more on ebay so that's on now.
Off to the panto with school tomorrow - whould insert a sarcastic whoop icon if there was one. Absolutely hate them.NSD -5/20

Well not much going on in my world at the mo.
Had a NSD yesterday so a grand total of 6 so far!
Also had tea at the parents in law so hoping to stretch the big shop until Monday which is a week longer then expected.
Have the biggest ironing pile in the corner of the dining room which is looking at me, will have to tackle it this afternoon
Looks as though it's going to be an expensive weekend as booked in for a facial ages ago and am picking up my wedding dress so need my legs waxing. Am in two minds about the facial but I have quite bad spot prone skin and it's one of the few things that help. Hoping that if I get into a routine com ethe wedding my skin will be clear. I have got the money in my spend budget but keep worrying that something else will come along.

Hello!! Just caught up with your diary & CONGRATULATIONS on the award!! I'd be over the moon with that - not that I'm a teacher so I guess I'd be more surprised!!! :rotfl: Good luck with everything & I might see you on the wedding forum as we're getting married in Aug next year - hoping to be as MSE as possible!Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

I must stop letting the ironing pile up...I must stop letting the ironing pile up!! You have every right to feel smug Lucielle, how on earth can you face it in mornings? It takes me until at least 5 cups of tea before I can persuade myself to do it.
Daft question Raini but where are the wedding forums? I'm not so good at navigating the site (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :rotfl:)
Anyway, had a bit of a blow out today, treated ourselves to fish and chips. Which very annoyingly turned out to be awful  Cracked open the swiss chocolates from the Nana for Christmas and have found the caramel ones and pistachio are dark. Yes that's DARK chocolate. Why do that? Why?
It's like the new Roses all over again, don't even get me started on the hard chocolate squares
Found a half opened bottle of wine in the fridge, slightly odd taste but I'm sure that'll not be noticeable after the first glass full
Well tomorrow we are going to look at wedding suits for the OH. It's about 4 miles away but we are going to walk there and possibly back. I've also decided to cancel the facial and book a cheaper one elsewhere.
Anyway, following the 5 minute watching of celeb BB I am now hooked and going to give it my full attention. Perhaps next month I will watch some more highbrow programmes so I can join in the conversations in the staff room!!NSD -5/20

Hi Sazzle - Your post is so similar to my life it's scary...
Got married last July - saved £3K towards my mums donation
Training to be a Teacher
Consolodated mine and hubbies debts when we got together with a loan from the Halifax - £11,000 (which we are still paying off).
Also sounds like we have the same name! Anyway, just to say a big hello and good luck saving for the wedding. If you need any tips on budgeting or ideas just get in touch (J_pink...I have a diary too). A few things that got me started on my wedding saving and DF plan...- Having a grocery limit per week
- Taking packed lunches
- Stop going clothes shopping (the temptations too high)
- Quit gym and go running and swimming with a friend
- Using gumtree, ebay and ikea for wedding things
- Household Bills - swapping to great deals on uswitch etc.
- Negotiating cheap mobile contract
- Home dining - dinner parties instead of going out! (particularly fab in summer with a BBQ) and I love decorating my garden on the cheap

Thank J_Pink for your suggestions. Annoyingly a lot of the things we bought ages ago, when budgetting didn't even register! Still have a few bits and bobs we can work with though - rings, suit hire, invites (was going to make them but worked out it would not be much cheaper...oh and I don't have the hours available to make them!!)
I'm somewhat addicted to my local library at the mo, although I haven't made the move to Victorian literature yet, I discovered Kate Atkinson who is a phenomenal writer and also have a guilty WW2 novel addiction
We went to look at suit hire today and went to a local shop. £79 for adults £49 for children which seems a little more reasonable than Debenhams who were charging full price for children's suits! However, we would get an extra free from Debs (We need 11 adults and 5 children long story!) Gonna go back to the local store and see if they can give us another free. Although leaving that to the OH as I really am rubbish at haggling.
I'm off to pick up my wedding dress tomorrow. Really don't think I'll like it. Made the mistake of picking a similar one to a very expensive one that I tried on, that my mum also liked. Didn't really question if I liked it myself and TBH I'd tried on too many dresses and was sick of making the same conversations with people whilst stood half naked waiting to get into a dress.
For the past 6 months I've thought that if I didn't like it I would just get another on the card. So guess I'm stuck with it whether I like it or not:rolleyes:
Finding this whole NSD malarky tricky. It seems that I'll have one but the OH doesn't and vice versa, take Thurs, I managed but OH went to play football. Beginning to wonder if 15 is too high a starting point and considering a change to 12 a month and building up.
Going to dig a load of things out today for no listing fees on ebay tomorrow, starting to get to the dregs of things to ebay, got the new Wii fit game which isn't overly great so considering putting that on as doubt I'll use it.NSD -5/20

Hi sazzle, sorry i didn't get back before.
Yes you can freeze cheese, but don't put salad on the sandwiches.
Also congratulations on your award. It is times like this that make teaching so rewarding ( well other than the curry that is
)
I will scuttle off and have a look for the sandwich link. I used to have things subscribed to- but forum changes have altered all of that
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
